I'm sure glad Valve decided not to work on any new major titles like Half Life 3, Portal 3, Left for Dead 3, etc. etc. and instead focus on Virtual Reality and Steam. /s

Regardless though, I do feel bad for anyone that loses their job.

Farewell Alan Bean. It saddens me to know that in a few years there won't be anyone still alive that has set foot on the moon.

Guy messes up one time and assumes 18 and its life over.

Sad, but true. As soon as I saw the headline I knew his career and a good portion of his life is over. Whether he's guilty or innocent. Whether she lied or not. It doesn't matter. This will stick with him. He's done.

Street Fighter II won out over The Oregon Trail? What a load of crap! I hope their wagon wheels break and they die of dysentery.

I'll turn off adblock when they stop:

- Covering my entire screen
- Autoplaying video and/or sound
- Trying to imitate the website I'm on (like download buttons)

I have Adblock disabled for a certain few sites that I like and that display ads that meet the above requirements.

There was a good video awhile back that made a good case against us ever seeing HL3. It basically argued that they have nothing to gain financially from releasing considering the position they are in with Steam, so it's not worth the possible (or inevitable) fan backlash if it is disappointing.

I know they won't, but I wish they'd at least license out the IP so that someone else could do it.

Whoa, whoa, whoa... A new operating system installation isn't carrying over the previous operating system's settings? Call the police. Hell, call the news, this is unprecedented;

Considering its an upgrade in most cases and not a fresh install and this is 2015, I don't think its an unreasonable expectation. At least where possible.

Oh I don't think so either. It's just not out of the ordinary, which is probably why MS figured they'd get away with it.

It's funny - my housemate just built a new machine. First thing he did after installing Windows 7 was open up Internet Explorer to download Firefox. Then he removed the IE icon saying "And that's the last time I'll be using that."

Windows 10 upgrade resets your default browser to Edge; Mozilla is very unhappy.

Heh, that's small potatoes compared to what they'd do a decade ago.

A decade ago it'd have uninstalled Firefox, Chrome and set your HOSTS file to redirect mozilla.org to microsoft.com.

Snowden can't realistically be pardoned, think of the floodgates it could open if he were? He's right in many ways and I'm sure several politico's even agree, but just cannot happen and it wouldn't happen anywhere.

But Petraeus can get away with it? He did it for a blowjob, and Snowden did because he loved his country, and Snowden is the one condemned? Shows just who's really running America and has been for a long time now. If they can murder Kennedy and pardon Nixon everything else is child's play.

Hey, hey, hey. We put away Reagan for Iran-Contra and Cheney for torture, didn't we?

How dare you speak ill of the great Ronald Reagan! According to all the Facebook images people post, he was our greatest President and gosh darn, things were just fine when he was around.

If he felt his actions were consistent with civil disobedience, then he should do what those who have taken issue with their own government do: Challenge it, speak out, engage in a constructive act of protest, and -- importantly -- accept the consequences of his actions

The gall of this asshole... So what they're saying is, if you got a problem you should complain to your boss at the NSA so they can disappear you. Because there's no way in hell if he tried to go thru proper channels anything would have gotten done. We wouldn't know about it and they'd have just quietly swept him under the rug (probably literally).

The only way to stop this was to bring it to the public's attention. If the American people weren't so focused on the 24 hour news cycle and what Justin Bieber is, they'd be knocking down congress' door until we put a stop to this shit.

Anyone see John Oliver's interview with Snowden? Many people don't even remember who Snowden is anymore or what exactly he did? But mention the Kardassians or Bieber...
