I still haven't done the DLC for Skyrim yet, so yeah, I'm good for yet another playthrough or two still. Until Fallout 4 shows up this year at any rate.

I'll def grab Wolfensteen at some point but yeah, SoM is really effing good.

W2 didn't really grab me, but Shadowrun Berlin Director's Cut is the way to go and DoS as well. Pillars of Eternity better be ready to go in Feb however. They've had more than enough time now.

"Early Spring" is the current date. I'd expect to see it in April at the earliest, June more likely.

Gsync can go fuck off and die for pricing themselves into the stratosphere. Anyone with that much money to blow is better off throwing more horsepower into their PC to hit a high framerate than buying overpriced gsync horseshit.

AMD is finally pushing their own propriety horseshit out this year, Freesync, which is hopefully going to be a lot fucking cheaper.

AMD had already told us that adding FreeSync / Adaptive-Sync capability to a monitor would prove to be quite easy technically and financially. In fact the company stated numerous times that FreeSync monitors would end up considerably cheaper than their Nvidia G-Sync counterparts.
The company’s Chief Gaming Scientist, Richard Huddy, stated in November that he estimates the cost differential between two identical FreeSync and G-Sync monitors to amount to $100 less in favor of the FreeSync solution.

AMD's is not proprietary. It's supposed to be an open standard.

2.3 was one hell of an upgrade over 2.2 on the S1. Having been using Android for about four years now, no update has impressed me as much as 2.3 did over 2.2/2.1. The whole having to restart your phone once a day thing on 2.2/2.1, to going with 2.3 and having your phone last over 1000hrs before a restart was a nice touch.

I went straight from 2.2 to... what, 4.something? 2.2 did start rebooting every day when the hardware was about to fail, but never crashed as often as my Nexus 4 did on 4.x. And man, 5.0 is even worse than that. Need to reboot it every couple of days, or you'll find out suddenly that it has been ignoring phone calls for the past 24 hours.

Gee and the Tesla is still only 110k entry price. What a deal for a 400 miles. Rolleyes

Range is a problem, but for me the bigger problem would be that you can the throw the car away if you ever leave the battery unplugged during -10°C for longer than 24 hours. Ie, when you have a power outage for a day, you can throw your tesla.. away.

Great car, would instantly buy .. not

You'd just put a battery minder on it. Not a huge deal, but you do have to remember to do that.

On the flipside, when it's extremely cold, I also have to remember to go outside and de-ice my heatpump as well as my septic tank sprinklers, so it's just one of those things that you know you have to do when it's very cold.

And how many people who can afford a 100K Tesla S leave it outside of their garage, really?

In addition to that, I googled around out of curiosity and don't see anyone saying anything even close to what eRe4s3r is claiming. It's almost uniformly: "Leave the battery unplugged during -10C... and regenerative braking will be disabled until the battery warms up." Oooh noooo.

Sennheiser Sennheiser Sennheiser.

If you just want phones, HD 280 is $100. Their headsets are a lot more expensive, but with Sennheiser you get what you pay for.

I prefer Grado to Sennheiser.
Or used to. It's been almost a decade since I've compared, and that's a lot of time in headphones. Any purchases I've done in that decade have either had a microphone or been sound cancelling. I haven't purchased dedicated non-gaming non-SC headsets since my Grados in about 2005.

I hear a lot about the cheapness of construction of the Grados, and their warranty is only a year.

Not surprising about Game of Thrones. Access to current episodes is still behind two pay walls, TV service and HBO, and the Blu-rays are $35+ a season. Maybe when they make HBO-GO standalone they'll see the piracy levels drop.

35$ for 10 hours of entertainment. Thats like 5 movies. Frozen (on blueray) 1 hour 40 min long is $25.00 Pretty weak excuse to pirate Game of Thrones.

Still have to wait out almost a year of spoilers before you have that option.

Leave it to Ars to turn into a clickbait article. In the context NK said it they meant he was foolish, it wasn't racial. Besides, last time I checked Obama was half-white anyway.

They know what they're saying. Compare to something they said in May (per CNN):

You can also tell this by his appearance and behavior, and while it may be because he is a crossbreed, one cannot help thinking the more one sees him that he has escaped from a monkey's body

Lizard Squad immediately used the 3000 vouchers to set up 3000 TOR nodes, giving them the ability to compromise the anonymity of pretty much any TOR user. So have fun with that.

So they stole $16 million. Now how much in bonuses did the Sr. Execs get last year, and how much money was allocated to their IT departments to combat the problem? I'm going to guess virtually everything went to the former and nothing to the latter.

Executive compensation for one of them.

wtf? IGN did their best of 2014, they put in Sunset Overdrive and no mention of Mordor!? One of the many reasons I don't go to their site.

But did they include Wolfenstein: The New Order? It barely edges out Mordor as my GOTY.

That's Kotaku UK, which is like the idiot stepchild of the already-dumb-as-toast Kotaku. This List has Wolfenstein and Mordor, FWIW:

Still no good sales yet. And is Amazon not doing a sale this year? Enh, just keeping an eye on G2A for Mordor atm. Saw it at $15 a few days ago and shoulda snagged it then as it's hovering around $19 +/- atm. It was already on Amazon for $20 so I'll wait a few more days and see what happens.

I got the premium edition at g2a for 24.00. Auto buy.

Yeah, 20 US, that's like 95 CDN thanks to that asshole Harper.

While I'm aware that Harper is a total asshat, the USD is just strong right now. It's doing well against the yen, AUD, CAD, and euro.

I dont see GTA V banned from steam yet? I mean, squeezing titties, bringing strippers home to put a bullet in their vaginas, running around town shooting and burning people and running them over with tanks or punching whores to death to get your money back... THAT'S OK? Of course its OK because its a GAME! Hatred should be handled the same way. But hey, GTA V will make big money and that's where morals get grey! Fucking hypocrites.

This us censorship. Period. The people themselves should decide whether it's worth their money or not. "Steam has the right to--" Blablablabla yes Steam has the right to ban it from its store. But because it basically has the monopoly, it's worth it to get loud when it starts to make decisions for us. You know, like a government dictatorship, since there's only one.

Seen the movie Rampage? I thought it was fun.

Greenlight is only two years old, and until last year it was still 100% up to Valve whether or not voted-on titles would actually get greenlit. They were flirting with the idea of killing it entirely. Before Greenlight, were they banning all games from Steam that they didn't specifically go out and pick?

Its history as an open-access platform for anyone to slap their games is incredibly short. A blip. And it has more competition than ever: Humble Store, UPlay, Origin, GOG, GMG, their own website, blah blah blah.

I don't see any issues on DVI or displayport.

I sort of like the way it looks. It isn't real, keep telling yourself that because it is true. I'm anti-real machine gun/tanks for citizens, but have no problems devastating pixels. Not sure why Steam wouldn't carry it. Do they not understand what they sell isn't real?

Because Valve is a business and associating with apparently-hate-group-associated-developers is not good business sense.

One unexpected surprise for me with the PS4\GTA was the speaker in the controller. The extra dimension added with that speaker is bloody marvelous and R* did a great job utilizing it. Anyone who's playing GTA on the X1 is missing out.

Another Nintendo innovation copied the next generation.

Didn't the Dreamcast VMUs have a speaker?
