Isn't that wrong? I thought in vampire mythology, to become a vampire you need to drink the blood of a vampire after being fed on. This whole thing of vampires turning others simply by biting them like a plague or something is only in more recent things like Blade.

I reckon this theme is just bullshit and has nothing to do with Doom 3. There's nothing about it at www.teaker.net, and frankly i can't see iD deciding to use this as the theme. It doesn't come off as a video game theme, and certainly not a theme for Doom 3. Quake 1's style would far better match Doom 3

We're not talking about UT2003, dink, we're talking about UT2004, an as of yet, unreleased game that has DX7 graphics. All the effects used in UT2004 can be done in the much older Quake 3 engine.

As for the game, Epic keep regurgitating this tired and shit gameplay with the knowledge that idiots like you will buy it. UT2003 is fucking boring. Halo, with all the problems and unbalance issues that Gearbox don't seem to have a clue how to fix, or just don't have the will to, is far more fun than UT2003. CoD mops the floor with it. Even XMP is more fun than UT2003. UT2004's going to be no better, the addition of vehicles and a couple "new" game types isn't going to make it any more appealing.

It plays well on a lot of machines, it has been the least buggy games across the widest hardware, and it has solid bot support.
Makes it one of the top two games for small lan parties in my book.
I see. So gameplay isn't a factor at all, when it comes to what makes a good game? Moron. And it's bots are not freaking solid. Totally inhuman.

Besides, i'm getting so sick of these MP games. I'm looking to forward SP games.

I personally couldn't give a shit about it. Outdated graphics with uninspired and regurgitated gameplay with the addition of vehicles (bet you they'll suck, just like XMP's vehicles).

Yes. I mean, what was so great about DX? It had shitty graphics (even for it's time), poor weapons, terrible action side of gameplay, terrible stealth side of gameplay, the voice acting alone makes me retch in some places. So why was it successful? Simply because it had a very intriguing and engaging story, the atmosphere felt great, and it had something we hadn't really seen in other games, the multipathed way to solve missions, which can open up other levels and gives a lot replayability. The length of the game was also a huge pro.

That's just it, it's not the same team. I've you've seen those ingame movies of thief 3, you'll see that their artists are about 1000x better than those used for invisible war. And Harvey Smith isn't leading the design, but then again, Smith or Spector may do something to influence the designers and add stupid ideas, like the removal of water that they have already done. I'm also worried about level size. Thief levels = massive and super cool. Invisible war levels = rediculously small and shitty.
