From what I know the levels and models in that release are from 6 months ago.. and from E3..

Why would they carry around completed hl2 levels with them to show off 6 tech demos..

I'm guessing the other maps were there as backups incase people weren't taking any notice. I don't think the seabed one in the buggy was meant to be shown at e3 (I base that assumption on the filename though).

So in summary I belive the exe and the dlls are up to date but the levels are old.

There's no way you can belive that those 72 maps are all they've managed to achieve in 5 years.

I dunno if we're allowed to talk about it, but i've played the post-beta, and it has a couple of hints of the story (it has the starting sequence) and it's made me even more excited about hl2.

will definately be buying (not that there was any doubt)

I'd buy this if it was free and better and not based on counter-strike

I wouldnt read into what HLSource says too strongly..

"hl2 not delayed"

"Hl2 source has not been leaked"

"some of hl2 source leaked (not a lot honest)"

also I think I shoudl point out to those who haven't installed steam..

Installing steam does not automatically remove your old half-life install.

You will still be able to play your old pre-steam games, you'll just have 2 installations of everything.

I think the postal 2 multiplayer is gonna have a problem.. What use is multiplayer if there's no one to play against.

Cha Ching.

Maybe they should have put all this in the original sim city 4 and made it worth buying. I bought it and have played it about 4 times.

Will someone explain to these people that the retail stores don't know anything when it comes to release dates. They're as much in the dark as us.

You can't go by the dates on the sites anymore than you can go by the dates that I tell you (November the 5th, Guy Fawkes Night)
