This game started out as an adventurous attempt at a next gen mmorpg. They called it the 3rd generation MMORPG.

There is nothing ... and I MEAN NOTHING that would make this mmorpg stand out in a game released 3 years ago. It can now be only descibed as a terrible EQ2 clone... and I thought EQ2 was bland!

And the state the thing is in right now.... if its playable on release I will happily eat a live pig.

This company folding is simply a matter of natural selection.

By and large 90% of therir games were complete and utter shit. Anyone played Crash on the Xbox?

No matter what the format the games were childish (mostly) poorly supported (always) and David Beckham Soccer alone deserves them to go down the pan.

Whilst I feel sympathy with the individuals concerned - the company as a whole never once produced the goods, so simply they deserve to go

Games like this (mmmm let me see Unreal II, IGI 1, And that horror type unreal engine game thats was soooo great ... i forgot its name) SUCK!!!!

Sure yeah the first few minutes while you say nice gfx... good sound.... control system ok....... are good enough - but as soon as that 1st bad AI dude stands there, runs into a wall, takes 3000 shots and misses ......... its outta here. Gimme human players.... BF1942, AC2, Any Xbox live game but especially MotoGp, thats where its at and always will be. UII is just another hash of an old title.... think Epic and then think EA Sports....Unreal 2004 next year anyone?

Will this godam POS shit ever die?? Will The cornered rats ever admit defeat? I would love to know what the numbers are like on their servers as they had dropped to a couple of hundred when I finally gave up the ghost over six months ago. This is a game that requires several thousand online at any time for it to be nearly fun!!

If any idiot is stil playing this crap (even after the windows deleting patch!) then they have far to much spare cash or a ridiculously damaged brain stem that can keep them awake even after hours of sitting there waiting for the next enemy to show their face.

I think with the xbox live sevice rocking like it is - they will soon be recouping their money - you seen the statistics on who their hardware and software sales have leapt since XBL launch? Staggering!!

I saw 1.7 was released - a quick check of all the sections of the forums and all I see is "problem X with 1.7, problem Y with 1.7 etc etc"

Give up play something fun!!!! We all know the dream yada yada but they cant do it!!!! 15 Months of patching and the game is as bad and as old as ever!!

Let me set the record straight on all the fanboys here saying its your pc thats at fault.

1) My system is a an Athlon 2200 with 512mb ddr ram and a geforce 4 ti4600. when i cancelled my account the framerates where still worse than any other game - after 14months of development FFS!!!!

2) The graphics suck in the 1st place, they have finally caught with say..... um 1999 levels after enormous patches and 14 months of development (and dont give me all that "its the scale of the map" bollox - many many games offer the visible range that WWIIOL does but they implement it properly instead of getting their whole graphics engine back to front. Who in their right mind would load up the whole of europe in the engine when a guy is playing infantry and is gonna see less than 1% of it all on that mission!!)

3) They have had hundreds of suggestions to improve the drive "plink" repeat process, the capping system, (or should I say camping system?) and they listen to nothing. They have continuously come up with worse and worse and bizaare iterations which have made the gameplay continously more and more obscure

They tried something truly great - they provide something truly crap PERIOD! As mentioned before I paid over £160 for approx 1 hour in total of "entertainment"

LOL Bye bye Cornered Rat - you stung me for £40 for the game & over £120 in monthlies and still didnt produce the game advertised in the box after over a YEAR!!!!

Me sighs at the fools complaining about a BETA - I'll type it again B E T A server being down.

As for the game - I have to say some of the reasons why you guys might be thinking the game is flat is that the initial locations around the where you drop into the game after training are sooooo dull. But if you are prepared to explore - get several quests all at once and go on a grand tour of the island doing them all, your breath does get taken away many times by scenery and monsters - especially now every is level 20+ the more dramatic places and creatures are accessible.

But there still needs to be a lot more - one simple example is the magic animations ..... mostly they are duller than piss!

Overall I think its a lot more of a chilled adventure vibe than other mmorpgs and getting a spliff or two inside you 1st definitely helps enhance the game
