So I don't get the hate for Titanfall here, is it because it's Xbox One/PC exclusive?

It's not that you know? It has good production values, excellent graphics/sound, decent story (not the best or anything). It's a pretty solid shooter that works in a console.
Yes, there are better shooters on PC, but this one actually pulls it off in the sense of providing a good experience in its medium (the console) and so the reason why it is successful.
Besides multiplayer/co-op is fun!

Thanks for the replies. I guess i just wanted to know if it was the hype for CoD that was earning the game all of these awards, or if it's actually really good.

For me Bioshock and the Orange Box are the top games of this season. I would put right up there with them GH3.

It's not revolutionary, it's the same as GH2, but it's fun, the tracks are great, and it's a blast to play it with the friends.

Been trying to get my hands on Rock Band, hopefully it's as fun as GH3.

COD4: Is it really that good? I found that most of the reviews mention the single player campaing to last around 5-6 hours. How is a game with that length considered for a GOTY award?

Sounds even shorter than Gears of War and that one was short. Is it more or less the same length as GOW?

Something more like Porsche Unleashed would be welcome, i still have fond memories of that game. The car handling was one of the best on any racing game. That and a remake of Rally Championship would make my day.

You're able to play online through xwis.net, both C&C and RA. You have to overwrite a dll, but the instructions there are pretty easy to follow. Some people have been experiencing the crash at the top corner, and well the movies, and the missing music,
Still think it's worth it.

It's kinda difficult to reply, considering that it's a very heated debate and in politics like in other touchy subjects people are very passionate about their point of view, and the thing im not looking for is to continue a thread of "we are right, and you are wrong" that's been going so far.
I just have some comments that remain as objective as my opinion, which is probably not a lot.
If US and allies involvement isn't fueled by factors such as the oil, but because they're doing the "right" thing, and want to bring "democracy" to Iraq, then how come in other countries, especially African countries in the past years, they haven't intervened? How come this is a special case in which they feel they need to intervene. If it's about Iraq having WOMD then it's kinda understandable, but again, there are far more important threats such as North Korea, and how come they are not invading them? It's difficult to accept such different positions to similar situations.
I understand people's pro-war point of view posted in this forum that can basically be resumed in "Iraq didn't meet with what was asked of them from resolutions, so they must pay", but why the urgency? if they (UN and US) let Iraq go not meeting up to requirements from resolutions for the last 12 years, why the sudden urgency?
And the thing is, im not against military action, im just against it being taken with such a sense of hurry, and disregarding other nations opinions in the process. But i understand what you all people say, that maybe enough is enough and it was time to take things into action. Hopefully, and that's probably the best we can all do, is wish that things dont go as bad as they can go in a war, and also that we try to see the whole scope of things, the opinions of both the people that are against war, and those that support it. That, can probably give us a broader picture of the situation.
Again i would urge you to read the link:

It's long, and everything but it's certainly a good read.

Cheers!

Hi folks, not much of a regular poster here, but here's a link to an interesting article that might clear up why US doesn't have the support it could get from the international community. It raises very valid points; hope you get to read it.

The link is: http://www.msnbc.com/news/885222.asp

IMO there was still one more round of negotiations that could've taken place at the UN instead of restorting to war. Seems that the decisíon to attack Iraq right now was a bit rushed, probably by the simplest of causes: the weather, (that i think was an issue brought up early in the thread). Hopefully they will find these WOMD, and even then, i don't believe it's a good reason to attack considering not all the pacific instances had been exhausted. It would've been better to get a full international support, because with the behavior shown by US and allies they're weakening a regulatory peacekeeping institution like the UN.
Here are a few questions to fuel the debate, hopefully it can take place with everybody being rational:

What prevents any other country, let's take for example North Korea, from disregarding the UN if the US or UK have already done so by attacking Iraq without UN sanction?
What will happen if they don't find these WOMD in Iraq?
Don't you think that there should be a more international consensus (UN) when a country's sovereignity (sp?) is to be breached (in this case Iraq's)? What would you do if it's your country?

I have no doubt that Saddam is a dictator that has no respect for his people or country. I do believe though that US intentions are not those of "liberating" Iraq, but rather oil reserves, restart their economy, increase their influence in the Middle East, etc.

It also seems like Bush's continuing his father's doings in a sense.

Cheers,

Greenish

I believe that it IS Westwood developing the game. Yes it says it's EA pacific and all but that's technically their name since EA bought WS.

It seems to be a great game. And i don't understand what's wrong with continuing with a formula that works. Some might not like it, true, but a big amount does.

Either way, at least graphically it does seem outstanding.

Cheers.
