I'll admit that I got sucked into this one (waves fist at his wife, then goes back to playing), and I'm enjoying it. Sure, it's just kill stuff over and over, but so are all the other MMOs really. I don't expect it to hold interest once I get really high level, but that's fine. It's enjoyable now.

Hey, I warned you it was addictive.

If you are a woman who would chose steak & taters & beer over sweets (and is heterosexual) I love you, will you marry me?

Sorry, already married to Zathrus.

And I won't be right all the time. But the point here is to learn. For the record, I'm a moderate... I'm pretty fiscally conservative and socially moderate/liberal. I used to be on the conservative side of things, but recently I've swung more toward the left. Probably in large part due to playing devil's advocate against the public view and my wife is definitely more liberal than I am (you know you are hon!).

Never denied I was. I have more skin in the game, if you will.

Speaking of, I'm all behind this site: http://www.mob.org.

Oh, and honestly, the most disposable income I've ever had was when my wife and I were living together prior to getting married. Two incomes, separate filings for taxes, shared expenses.

Then we stupidly went ahead and got married. Damn the marriage penalty!

And congrats to the new parents nin. Want to do them a HUGE favor (presuming you live nearby)? Bring over an easily reheated meal one evening. The first couple of weeks are really, really rough.

I'd only suggest one modification. Call ahead and ask them if it's okay for you to drop off food. Somedays, we'd get 2-3 meals worth of food, and there was some waste. Ask them if it's okay to drop something off on X day...they'll be so thrilled.

But I'm telling you... the kid's smiles are like crack.

Addict.

Gotta love paying for portion control.

However, the 100 calorie packs are significantly less calories than their original version.

I had a pretty amazing birthday. Lunch was nummy, and the company was perfect. Of course, being the industrious people we are...we ran some errands. Not many people go to the courthouse on their birthdays to pick up a copy of their marriage license or to exchange their license tag. (Liberal-ish http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/metro/0204/18tags.html or Conservative - http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,113762,00.html)

As far as keeping the lights down low...uh, sure. You can watch the kiddo, while I sit upstairs and work on my laptop.

Exactly. We KNOW he isn't Bush, but WHY should we vote for him? He just doesn't really seem to stand out...hell, Edwards is more interesting than Kerry!

I don't care about interesting. I care about competent. Bush has proven he's incompetent. *strikes Trump pose* "You're fired."

Both Edwards and Cheney are much more... animated... speakers.

I wonder if Edwards will be told to go Cheney himself.

Mother-in-law coming tonight... first visit since the kiddo was born (she's 5 months old now). Should prove to be a stress free weekend for both my wife and myself.

In other news, pigs have sprouted wings...

Hey, I have prescription drugs to help me through the weekend. You are on your own.

Girlfriends and wives may do too, according to how you rank DIII vs her birthday .
That said, if my girlfriend had her birthday on release day, I might be tempted to buy "her" a copy just to see her face .
Kinda like how my dad once bought my mum a barbeque because her birthday's in June, whereas the men of the family are all winter kids. There was a period where she got barbeques, patio heaters, garden furniture, lawnmowers etc!

If he bought me a copy, I'd play it in between breaks from CoH.

As to buying practical gifts, that's cool. For our first Christmas, he bought me a full set of Henckel's knives. This proved two things:
1) He groks my love of cooking
2) He trusts me to not kill him in his sleep!

guess the real question here is, how nice is the couch? Is it a pull out?

The couch is amazingly comfy. It's not a pull-out, but it sleeps one very well.

However, I'd rather he not be there because he's in the doghouse...

I'm not getting D3 the day it comes out, but I probably will in the first couple weeks. Not your cup of tea? Fine. Go play some other game then. Probably one that involves lurking under bridges.

Plus, if you get D3 the day it comes out, you're living on the couch forever.

*ahem*

It's even more sad that you can't respond to arguments reasonably. You keep ducking and weaving.

I just don't get how other people's marriages can affect your marriage. *shrug* If two people are in love and want to be married/joined/united in front of friends, family, and society - go forth! Be in love!
