We have tried, but he's just awake and wants to play.
Our daughter will try to stay up and play with us all night if we were to let her. We just stick to our nightly ritual like clockwork. She then knows that after dinner, bath, hair and teeth brushing, and 3 books, it's time to go to bed. Some nights, she fusses for 10-15 minutes, but she'll drop off quickly after that.
I've also heard great things about the "No Cry Sleep Solution" book. I skimmed through it at the library, and it seems rather sane.
Cynips - I'm sorry your family is sick! Z and I have had very mild versions of what our daughter has, but not enough to completely knock us out. We're just slightly more cantankerous. This comment was edited on Dec 16, 14:53.
Beauty is truth; truth beauty - that is all ye need to know on earth...except TCP/IP.
