I know it's a console port, but... it looks like a console port :-(

To the guys complaining about the levels in UT3, you need to bear in mind that the game has only just been released. You might want to wait a little while for the community at large to release better levels, or indeed Epic to release a bonus map pack or two, before writing off this game. I think Epic understand that the game's laurels won't lie solely on the levels that they made for it, but on the community's contribution, too.

"I think a lot of the comparisons on the market today simply compare screenshots, frankly it's rather meaningless, a lot of the improvements can be seen when things are moving."

Then we need to see some movie comparisons instead of just screenshots.

Do people even use this feature any more? I would have thought everyone would be using standalone browsers that handle multiple games, like Qtracker or Kali. Who uses the in-game browser? I guess if you just played one game and one game alone, you'd use its browser, but if you have more than one, why are you using the in-game ones?

Menu items that change position when you mouse closer to them are a bad thing. For example, I see the Settings button at position x on the screen but as I go to click it it moves to position y. WTF?

Bringing up the console when pressing the @ key is a bit of a showstopper as well. Why does it NEED an email address, anyway?

I didn't actually get to play it because, after restarting after changing the video settings to max, the thing loaded the map but froze a split second into it, the screen went black and returned me to the MSWin desktop.

I have decided to give up on this and wait for the non-beta demo.

PS. Apparently Jolt have a dedicated server: http://www.ut2004.jolt.co.uk/index.php?page=&action=show&id=15509

The video doesn't appear to show any actual in-game facials...

BTW, it's a .exe file, so you can only see it if you can execute these files.

Appears they have sold out. Whereever I try to enter their site, I get a big advertisement page (with just a big white square where the ad is meant to go, thanks to my ad filter), and the "Continue to 3dgamers.com" link is just a javascript reload.

Compared to not releasing something so buggy. It is meant to be a demonstration of the final product, after all.

It doesn't look good when you have to release a patch for your demo.

I'm suspicious of those grenades. It looks like they're full of powered dust. As soon as they explode, there's a big puff of red smoke.

Looks like Doom 3, moves like Halflife 2! I think they should start making objects that come apart now, or at least deform.
