I agree with Billy.
Jarhead is the same company as Piranha Games. (Makers of the craptasculate Die Hard Nakatomi Plaza) The owners are definately shady.

Man, this Jarhead Games aka Piranha Games company makes a lot of garbage.

I think the last review I read on one of their games went something like "...gives value titles a bad name." and "there's no reason for a game to be this bad."

He looks guilty in his blog photo. That's good enough for me. The FBI wouldn't have raided him specifically if they weren't damn sure he had something to do with it.
Hope he gets jail time.

I still thinks HL2 would've been delayed and wasn't as near ready as valve let on.

GillBates: Ironically enough Nakatomi Plaza and Jarhead Games are one and the same. Check out the websites for Piranha Games and Jarhead Games. Same company, same crap.

It's very nice but damn is it a drag on my aging sys.
Uses like 30MB of Ram when it has the playlist, EQ, Media library, and is enlarged. As soon as it's minimized though it drops to like 6-7 MB
It's damn slow but I just chalk it up to my underpowered computer. It's to nice not to have.

I'm soooo looking forward to Far Cry.
Even though the name makes absolutely no sense to me.
Might as well have called it Near Grin.

I can relate to how you must feel right now. My Mom died very suddenly from Lou Gehrig's disease a few years ago. It takes a long time to start to feel normal again and adjust to the big absence left behind, but it does get easier as time goes by. Hang in there, and remember you can still make her proud as she keeps an eye on you from the afterlife.

I can't understand all these people bitching about Steam.
Have they even tried it?!
Steam is so integrated with HL now they're practically one in the same for me. I love Steam so far, and only wish they came out with it 5 years ago. I never launch Valve games from my start menu anymore. Steam all theway for me.
I get the feeling that all the Steam haters are the same type of people that post "I hate M$" messages in web forums using IE and WinXP Pro.

What's up with that? Can't help but wonder if it's crazy enough to be true.

I wonder if the patch corrects the terrible graphics, dull level design, boring game play, horrid AI, Poor replayability? After reading this review... http://www.gamezone.com/gzreviews/r21871.htm
I warezed it just to see if it actually was as bad as they made out to be. It was. Ouch.

every time I see a dumpster up on blocks, I'm looking for the thing I'm supposed to squash with it. Knowing you can if you want to though... that's freaking awesome!!

Nice analogy. I finally got around to finishing Return to Castle Wolfenstein last night.
The last level had me thinking the same thing. "Oh look at that big thing. I guess I'm supposed to drop that on someone."
What I'm curious to see is what kind of ingenious solutions to problems can be worked out and whether you can one up the game somehow by creative thinking. eg: reaching areas you shouldn't be able to reach.

The editor for farcry looks like a blast to work with.
I'm looking forward to this one as well as Stalker, Doom 3, and HL2.
What I'm not loking forward to is the pending hole in my wallet from the upgrades I'm gonna need.

I think the delay is to not go toe to toe on the shelf with HL2 and to use that time to improve the multiplayer.

My $0.02

I want to hear what Valve has to say about this. Earlier they said there was no chance of Nvidia's card getting a fix, and only a slight chance for ATI.

Wow this game sounds good!

http://www.gamezone.com/gzreviews/r21871.htm

Made by Jarhead games which seems to be an alias for Piranha games (who made Fox interactive's Die Hard Nakatomi Plaza.)
I guess they changed their name to hide from all the bad reviews?

Jarhead staff: http://www.jarheadgames.com/briefing.html
Pirahna games staff: http://www.piranha-games.com/corpinfo.html

I love the part where he says it gives Value titles a bad name. LOL! Time for another name change I think.

Woohoo. Let's play "reverse bid for my business"!
We can follow it up with a game of "guess how many Telus employees get laid off now".
