I love how GT is the 'real driving simulator' but none of the damn buttons work on the steering wheel in the ferrari. Thats half the car right there!

I remember watching a television animated mechwarrior (battletech) when I was a kid. The most I remember about it was the merchandising. They had a feature wall at toys r' us.

Everyone knows theres no money in PC games because of the ease of piracy. Why not buy a developer/publisher that dips its hands into everyones pocket.

They bring out the high end stuff for consoles because they are great gifts. PC users just buy the bare minimum or pirate it because typically PC games are bought and not given.

I dont play MMO's at all usually, mainly lack of attention span, but I find this one is really fun. Usually I feel a little guilty in PvP, but this game is an absolute blast.

Im by no means a ford fan, but I do buy a new F350 truck every 5-10 years or so. Never really have any problems with them with proper maintenance. That goes for any vehicle really.

I accually like the add-on drive alot, since I can use it for both the 360 and computer PC/Mac.

I mean, its not like people will have lost money by investing in HD-DVD. It doesnt mean your player will just stop working when they stop making it. Which would suck if it did. It would be interesting to see if Toshiba holds out on HD-DVD and continues to develop it, returning at the proper time for this 'war'.

Microsoft will likely not bring out another HD format player for the 360. If it does, it will most likely be an add on like the current setup.

The Future is downloadable content, and movies on demand. I for one, use this method of viewing far more than going to the video store, or accually buying movies.

I just cant wait for the HD-DVD blow out sale. 2 for $10.

But I dont care what format won, Im still not paying $35 for a f-ing DVD of any format, let alone hundreds on a player. I forsee ramped prices for BR format players and Disc's now that sony has no competition.

Im just glad I never payed a dime for any of my HD format stuff.

I wonder if the development of this franchise will out-live the likes of Prey or Duke Nukem.

Problem with the Star Trek universe is its a very interesting, uninteresting universe. Weither you fly back in time to collect extinct species, or the cyborgs invade in another timeline. Everything eventually returns to 'normal'.

Dont get me wrong, Im a huge trek fan. Just saying is all.

Before I got rid of my PS3 for an un-related reason, the drive broke. When I took it into sony to get it sent away to be fixed, they were pretty adamant about asking if I had used it to watch alot of movies continuously.

The tech guys said that its because the games sample every once in awhile when data is needed. Otherwise they dont do anything. A movie continuously plays, all the time sampling, which its not technically designed for.

I dont know what kinda substance this has, but it seems logical - which would explain the price gap between the PS3 and a stand-alone player.

But I still think the price of any HD format disc is far to expensive for the average consumer.

How will the HD format war affect my life? It wont. I still collect DVD's. And so do 99% of the people who buy any format.

I have both a Blu-Ray player, and an HD-DVD (XB360) player. I paid nothing for either, or any of my movies. People just seem to like to buy them for me on holidays.

Yeah, I guess it doesnt come from games. But media has an effect on people. Some people are more suseptable to advertising than others.

Like my cousin, who crashed his car into a telephone pole on the way home from Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Everyone can agree on a system, but it only takes one man on a soap box to completely mess it up.

*Start Rant*

I donno if any of you remember Motor City Online. That was not a half bad game. The physics engine was more based on the weight of the car, rather than the suspension setups. But the fact that there was billions of parts to build your motors with got me hooked.

In any game, everyone buys the best, but MCO had no best. Its what worked best for you.

Porsche Unleashed is by far my favourate racing game of all time. In fact, as a result of that game, a number of years ago I bought an old Porsche. And next year, Im buying a new one. EA made the game so good it influenced me enough to buy the car.

Now, if anything, they've made people stay away. They put cars in games people already own and butcher them with arcade physics, flashy lights and the element of breaking every law. And you wonder where all these new legislations about street racing come from.

They went from glorifying cars to destroying the very fibres for which they stood for.

*End Rant*

Game support for 64-bit OS seems non-exsistent.

Just a comment on Damage. Automakers dont allow damage in most games because some people will rely on that information in real life. I.E. I crashed my car at 200MPH and its only a little banged up and it runs. So therefore, some dumbass, somewhere will crash his car, somehow live, and sue based on the information assesed from the videogame enviornment. I did it in LA in the game, why couldn't I do it in real life.

Anyone else notice street racing and high speed pursuits go through the roof in the last couple years?

Im gonna go play some Porsche Unleashed.

When will motherboards and processors ever get up to par with video cards? Anyone remember the days when Your processor did the video processing and your video card was just a place to plug in the monitor? I mean Processors are just hitting the 64-bit mark. Video Cards and rapidly approahcing the 512-bit mark. I think they should start developing towards the old days when if something went wrong, only 2 or 3 components could be the problem instead of 20 or 30. Make a processor that does everything.
