great example: Cpt. Around here ricers are getting pretty popular, so me and my friends love seeing "sleepers" and "clean" cars. Cars that you wouldn't think will go fast, or cars thats just clean without clutter of gargantuan fins and ungly decals.
I hate riced up cars.. (I've yet to see any asian gets offended with cars being called ricer, me included.) (glad white people are so quick to stand up for us tho.. lol)

try this.:

Why you ask #5? Because id is taking blind stabs in the dark to try to make us think D3 is better than HL2 is some way.... People don't respond well to groundless (or unproveable) claims. Especially when they come off sounding as nasty as this one does.

How is it unproveable?
Havok, the physics engine being used for HL2 is easily accessible for anyone that owns 3dstudioMax (i.e. id software), and they even have a working demo of the physics without the 3d development program enviornment right on Havoks web-page.
Both cases, you can test the engine and see how much resource it takes.
Hell, even I know what Havoks capable of, and I didn't spend a dime on research.

@Lord_darkmoon:
Give him a break.. his not smart enough to even know what irony is.

back on topic:
I didn't like the demo.
If the combat system itself was good, I would of actually enjoyed the increased frequency in combat.. but currently there seems to be very little interaction in combat.. and I prefer to have strategy in my rpgs.

this games saving grace will be the story.. but unfortunately there is no way to tell if the story is good or not with the demo.

voice overs seemed uninteresting..

I really like the music.. reminds me of Japanese rpg..

hmmmmm, most of the reviews said that it decidedly did not rock... but I never played it so I dunno...

I can back it up that it did indeed rock.. what about you?

There is actually a cell phone jamming device. Frances uses them in most of their theatres. It was outlawed in the U.S. because some doctor might not get an emergency call.

actually it's because producing and selling signal interference devices are illegal in the U.S.

"My Ignorance" has nothing to do with it. The application (some atomic clock syncing program, which is already built into Windows XP) installed itself without prompting me.

actually.. it has everything to do with your ignorance..
there is millions of sites availble on-line that will tell you and give you everything you need to prevent unwanted programs getting installed onto your computer. Not to mention, you're completely ignoring the fact that, people constantly give advice on how to prevent spywares from being installed right in Blue's comment sections.

Try Opera and a good firewall, and you'll be free. I use Opera and Norton Personal Firewall and I get no pop-ups, ads, or silent installs.

if any site installs programs on your computer.. it's your fault.. don't blame other people for your ignorance..
I only got 2 pop-ups... and nothing was installed onto my computer..

and back to max payne.. sure it's short, but the game was fun.. It never bothered me to play short game as long as the game delievered. (Nights!!!)
Watch some Film noir.. you'll see some gritty movies with love story angle, and realize that it is indeed possible to tell a gritty, dark story, and still be able to have love interests.

They are just now starting to animate characters?

your right they are only hiring character animators just now

god forbid, they are hiring character animators to help the overworked character animators they already have.

auto save where the developers control common save spot is the best solution for this. I've seen way to many people take advantage of save and load schemes. Including myself. and it really does take away from the game. A good amount time should be spent on the Difficulty level of the game if they are to take out the save feature during levels. It's a balancing act.

I'd like to see the rabbi's face when he walks down the streets of some korean towns with their swastika flags fluttering in the wind.
