Of Boxes and Manuals Jul 4, 14:57 Valzante
Species8472 really hit the nail on the head, as far as my own feelings are concerned. Side story: I was very disappointed when I opened my HL2 box (collectors edition BTW) and saw no manual. If the mini-guide was their idea of a manual, then I feel sorry for them.
Maybe I'm an old fogey here (Been a PC gamer since 83) but I need to have a manual by the side of my mouse, ready at a moments notice to answer questions I have and to act as a reference card of sorts. I need a manual and also a box to display on the huge shelves which hold my games.
Tree huggers who lust for a paper-less world: Get over it.

DAMN I'm also a Gamer since '83!! I like the boxed version and eat box too! Does that count for anything?
F**k Steam! It works but should'nt change the direction of distribution. I want it all (Manuals, creator's notes, freebies and junk.)
Incidently, I too bought the limited edition of HL2 and was very pleased.
