God Bless Paul,

I guess he & I really aren't going to have that LAN Bash in Quake after all.

He was a real great guy who made you feel like a million bucks when you approached him with humble questions. He took the time out to explain things to you provided you listened.

God Bless you Paul!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is set in the year 2012 and sees you playing as a mercenary who's been tasked with entering the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Which, wouldn't you know it, is populated by all manner of scary mutants who are out for blood.

Is 2012 the release date also? By then it should be current!

I bought it as I will NEVER download a game from steam. Like the earlier posts, I want the instruction manual and all that sh**. I haven't opened it but anticipate that it'll be a good game. As for the clowns who brag about 'how little playtime there was' or 'what it costs' or 'how they pirated it' are idiot f**ks who can't shell out a quick $20 dollars? WTF? Save your soapbox speech on how you took the 'kewl' low road to stick it to the man. F-You Cheap ass!! I bought the game and can afford to buy all of the F-n sequels I want. Get a F'n job and shut yer mouths. Who gives a sh**! It was only a VERY small twenty dollars.

Cheers to those who can AFFORD the games.

Since I don't like Steam and would rather have the actual media in my hands. I'll just buy both Sin and Episode one when they hit the shelves of EB Games.

Cheers,

Uhhh, Yeah, this is THE singular reason I DID NOT buy Far Cry. WTF, when did I become a cd factory when the DVD (elusive as it is) is out there somewhere. DVD's aren't the minority WTF?

Thanks,

Jay K.

Of Boxes and Manuals Jul 4, 14:57 Valzante

Species8472 really hit the nail on the head, as far as my own feelings are concerned. Side story: I was very disappointed when I opened my HL2 box (collectors edition BTW) and saw no manual. If the mini-guide was their idea of a manual, then I feel sorry for them.

Maybe I'm an old fogey here (Been a PC gamer since 83) but I need to have a manual by the side of my mouse, ready at a moments notice to answer questions I have and to act as a reference card of sorts. I need a manual and also a box to display on the huge shelves which hold my games.

Tree huggers who lust for a paper-less world: Get over it.

----
DAMN I'm also a Gamer since '83!! I like the boxed version and eat box too! Does that count for anything?

F**k Steam! It works but should'nt change the direction of distribution. I want it all (Manuals, creator's notes, freebies and junk.)

Incidently, I too bought the limited edition of HL2 and was very pleased.

The Game has promise. The graphics were excellent and the running feature was Very cool! I enjoyed the layout of the board yet was confused by the dynamics of the vehicles and found them to be somewhat of a limitation. I'd like to see a single player demo before passing full judgement on the game.

Yet again, Hollywood has proven how lackluster and nonimaginative it really is by copying "our" promised land. In an attempt to search out good ideas to bastardize, Hollywierd has come calling.

For something like this, I'd definitely reinstall the game! This game is like a lost treasure that has just been found again. I'm looking forward to this one.

Will there be a clearly marked box stating DVD or will I have to buy a 5 cd box that actually has the DVD once I buy a new computer with a AMD 64 bit processor?
