Just checked out Rockstar's website and discovered that under PC games Midnight Club 2 is available for pre-order.....Midnight Club is coming to the PC! Haven't heard even a single whisper about this,so i am quite suprised!

Well to be honest i did play The Sims, and when u max out your stats the game gets old FAST.

The only chance i will ever pick up a Sims game again is one where they enable you to kill other sims,by violence!

I think the chance of that happening is just about same seeing winter in hell,so i'll pass

Origin, fucking sell outs that's what they all are now, along with most major game developers.
Quality storylines and gameplay is out.
Just milk the "xp xp lvl up lvl up" crowd to the max with monthly subscriptions.
Seriously,MMO games are something that i wish could be un-invented.

Erm i think he means the previewer visited the Rockstar offices in NY to try out the game,as in all the previews ive seen mention the NY office of Rockstar.

Well Ray,i loved both Mafia and GTA3,and i gave Mafia a better score because of the sheer effort put into the artwork and storyline, but i think VC will have what GTA3 didnt have, and be much more enjoyable to boot.

I replayed GTA3 & Mafia many times after they were completed(not too many games have that honour for someone easily distracted like me),and i know for certain that VC will easily join the ranks of my never to be uninstalled club.

Not wanting to be pedantic but if the game was really to be released on DVD format, why isn't the DVD logo not on the GTA:VC PC site but the PC-CDROM logo is? And why quote a CD\DVD drive as a requirement if it really was to be a DVD only release? In that case they would clearly state a DVD drive was to be required. And finally, the recommended installation will take up only 1.55 gig(+635 megs if your GFX card does not support DXTC). GTA3 took up only about 1 gig for the full installation. I think they would play with the bitrates of the sound files just like they did in GTA3 in order to achieve a compromise between size and quality.

My bet is that it would not be more than 3 CDs.

Hmmmm last time i checked the official PC site for GTA:VC it had a prominent PC-CDROM logo at the bottom of the mainpage and on checking system requirements found out that a full installation will take up about 1.5 gigs of space,so i reckon Vice City would probably take up 3 cd-roms or so.

Wonder how are they compressing all the radio stations, probably in some low bitrate sound format i guess.
I'm not really too hot about 80's music, and you don't need cd-quality sound or anywhere near that to enjoy the talk-stations and dialogue in the cut-scenes which i'm more interested in so i guess it's quite okay for me.

But the thing i want most of course is the game itself. DVD or CD-ROM i don't care,i just want the friggin game. Been waiting for it to be released on the PC since it was announced, which was what, early last year?

Hey does anyone know how to make that annoying waiting to deploy team wait in LAN games shorter or go away completely?
And i found a bug related to this too,it's when i keep reloading my weapons while waiting for the friggin game to start to keep my sanity(or lack of),the reloading action gets stuck and i can't do anything lol.

I think patch 1.02 would be out soon and i think one of the bugs it fixes would be the ready bug.

Although it's not released yet,i'm just thankfully happy that i have a modern flight sim the standard of the IL-2 pedigree coming up for me to enjoy. Unless of course it turns out to be a total bomb, which is highly unlikely in my opinion. So let all us flight sim fans do a victory roll, and whiners and trolls need not apply.

Mindless destruction? OTT gore? Bring it on man. I'm getting abit fatigued from playing too much "realistic" FPS like IGI2,Splinter Cell & Raven Shield(the MP demo).

It seems like this game is pretty much what i would like to play to take a break from all those realistic FPS. A semi-sandbox FPS so to speak, that basically allows u to do whatever you like to do(within logical limits of course).

So far in my gaming life i have yet to see a true "sandbox" FPS. That would be a real gaming dream come true.

P.S:The main character resembles Eminem, don't ya'all think so?

I've just made the switch from 98 to XP and i'm just getting used to the OS and now they are going to release a new OS again..bleh..maybe that's progress but for me i'll rather not fix things unless they are really broken....my personal reasons for upgrading to XP are better memory utilization for bigger memory sizes and recently,it seems like hardware drivers for 98 are really slow getting released,if at all.....

With the mass exodus of key members of the design team i knew it could not bode well for the game but a delay till '04? Bleh!

Heard Rod Fung said he was not happy with how the series is being changed from being a tactical simulation to being more arcadey.

If i want arcade style FPS i have a ton to choose from, and i really hope that the delay might mean that UJ is closer to its roots.

Well, there is still Raven Shield(minus the heartbeat sensor) to fill my needs.
