It would be interesting if one of these developers ever designed a loot box system that paid you a nominal amount to log in and play, sort of like the free drinks in Vegas, in the belief that you will spend more over the course of your interaction with their product.

From the believer perspective, unless Charles Manson accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior before his death, he is currently in Hell and therefore it is not possible for Charles Manson to rest in peace.

I had really hoped one of the expansions would've given us a mission editor. It would have been fun to play around with setting your own goals and dialogue for the Savage Land, Xavier's school and the other locales and characters that they had in the game. Maybe Avengers Project will have some kind of user content capability.

I wonder if the 1% read those headlines and think to themselves "Why not all of it?"

A new sense has been given to the word 'violation'.

lol. Maybe instead of calling people with criminal intentions 'morons' we ought to encourage them to act dumb?

I thought of the Manhunter games too when I saw the post. Played those as well as Rise of the Dragon.

a woman being held down and having her elbows broken with a hammer

Reminds me of a Dean Koontz novel I read back in the 80s, although if I remember the scene correctly, the victim was bound in duct tape and all bones were broken with a ball peel hammer.

Okay I admit I didn't click thru but that headline made me laugh. That's pretty funny. Orwell meets Survivor.

The real improbability was that it was successful. The youtube videos detailing the steps for the deployment of the Webb telescope in space are so detailed that it'll be a minor miracle if that instrument becomes anything more than science's greatest boondoggle.

I thought Kinect was interesting technology. I could see how online gamers could use it to record their own combat animations to upload them to fighting games or mmos if games were ever developed to allow such a degree of user customization.

I wonder if the technology really doesn't have broad appeal or it just wasn't marketed adequately?

Sigh. They used to design experiences that were like unpaid jobs. Going forward they're designing experiences that are just perpetual advertising.
