Just to clarify, too many people are in a hurry to tag something as spyware to make their complaints seem serious. Since spyware, really called malware now, is really much more like a virus or trojan then anything else, to call cookie types of activity spyware is just shameful. Anonymous data is just that, anonymous data. No one collects, nor is claiming they will collect, personal data. In the real world, your personal data can be gotten from all sorts of public sources, from your local government offices to the internet, so why people get bent over anonymous data being collected, while so much of their personal information is readily available, makes no sense to me.
As for my opinion on ads, I dont mind ads if they are in billboards or bus sides in a large game based on realism, but in Battlefield? What will it be, a Burger King ad on a mech or the mothership? LOL. Silly stuff. Luckily, I didnt care much for the game, so I wont have the urge to buy it, even in the bargain bin.
