wonder if sony might get out of the console hardware biz entirely. It's happened 2x before that i can think of - Atari was God at one time before blunders sank the company, Sega briefly (for about 1.5 years) held 1st place over the SNES and was a strong #2 for many years before they too crumbled.

a couple years ago a San Fran 'KNBR-The Sports Leader' sports talk radio co-host was on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and yep, he came home with $0 when he missed a Sports trivia question. The embarrassing thing was he didn't even use a Lifeline, which was the entire staff of the radio station who was standing by on computers ready to google any question he couldn't get!

well he says that unlike Sigil, Flying Labs has plenty of cash on hand, and the list of which party controls what is waaay in FLs favor. All Sony does it put it in stores, do localization and run a few back end things; FL retains full rights and control of Everything else - game and community - with NO permission required from Sony.

Sensitive technology research isn't being stolen from universities, it's begin GIVEN AWAY by companies who are outsourcing and insourcing their entire Manufacturing, R&D, and IT departments to India, China, Southeast Asia and Indonesia. Damn fools.
seems to be an examination of the phenomenon itself and how it extends even into virtual space, rather than a 'discovery' that a class-based society exists. everyone knows we live in a tiered society, but the extent of it's pervasiveness and influence may not be so obvious.

30% failure rate = bad odds. If it's out of warranty it seems like it'd be worth it to pop the case and replace the heatsinks and fans yourself before it fails, and maybe cut some bigger vents in the thing.
However, I'm willing to bet that there are some very powerful parties out there who would be most upset if Television were to be portrayed in such a bad light.ah and there's our only hope : that there is now so much MONEY wrapped up in game publishing that no one will dare classify it as a clinical addiction that demands Regulation.
By the way I really think the AMA wants to push for video game addiction because it opens a whole new branch of medicine. It's all about greed when you really think about it...interesting because if you trace the history of cannabis law you find it was made illegal for much the same reason - it opened a whole new branch of bureaucracy and legislation and enforcement = more power and control.
We all know that games like MineSweeper and Solitaire are "gateway" games which lead to the harder stuff like WoW and GTA, but we're all in denial.
