yet another pretty good RPG that nobody outside Europe and hard core rpg'ers will ever know about. We need region-free trans-global distribution for games. now.

WoW == Neutral Good, until the Forces of Eeevil assert themselves, then WoW == Lawful Good, smiting the pharmers of no-good-ism until Balance is restored.

time to turn all those Game Developers Conference design philosophies into a real product.
Lead Programmer...
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of programming experience and will have worked as a lead server engineer or core server engineer on a massively multiplayer title (150+ simultaneous users).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_tester

speaking from years of 1st hand experience...

A job in QA (Quality Assurance) as a Game Tester is usually a spirit crushing, mind numbing, desperately tedious experience. Normally you don't even play the entire game, but are assigned some small section which you play over, and over, and over. And over. And over. Looking for bugs and documenting them.

Pay ranges from $8 - $12 an hour, usually temporary part-time over a period of a few weeks for any one game, and most often you're not an employee of the company making the game but are a contractor with some 3rd party temp employment agency that treats people like animals and tries to cheat them out of pay.

edit: in other words it's not like Grandma's Boy. Well some parts are. But not the good parts.

nah, the only way to have a mass market game that bypasses the sensory organs is to go with direct neural input. which just ain't gonna be possible for decades.

I was under the impression that evd was already a flop?
in the opinion of the Western-invested press. Not saying this particular technology will be the one to hit it big, but it's just a matter of time. China will replace the US as the dominant financial/technological/military power in the world before the end of this century. As one techdirt poster put it "Time to learn some Mandarin pretty soon, anyway. You'll see."

maybe they need a kind of brass knuckles grip system, or at least the kind of diamond checker rubber/plastic grips they have on semi-auto pistols. I look forward to the first WHIPLASH! personal injury class action lawsuit filed against Nintendo for releasing such a clearly hazardous product. think of The Children!

Graphics, graphics, graphics ... does nobody want to play a GAME anymore?
Real GAMES - with plot, character development, setting, conflict, storyline, drama, pathos, anticipation, climax, denoument, moral, etc. etc - in other words all the Literary Devices that make for great Novels and great Films, are DAMN hard to craft.

Far far easier for money grubbing companies to just throw together a tech demo "game" that has a laundry list of DirectX (nn) features.

whoever owns the license needs to hire a top notch sci fi writer to evolve the storyline to the next generation, someone of J. Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5) or Harlan Ellison caliber. The story and property is a great one but it needs to be moved along to the next phase.

Duel in Ether - not bad not bad, worth a look at episode 2.

Kim story - CNN had a story on the Rule of 3 for survival:
you can survive 3 hours without shelter
you can survive 3 days without water
you can survive 3 weeks without food

so your top priority is shelter, in this case, stay in the car.
Easy to say of course, after 9 DAYS in the car, ran out of gas for heat they burned all 4 tires, i imagine they were nearly delerious and unable to make rational decisions.

i hope you viewed all the trailers available on that page
http://www.multiverse.net/games/built.jsp?cid=2&scid=1
yikes. It's nice that shoestring budget indy's have a sorta fairly good engine to work with and i can relate to the hopes and dreams and entrepreneurial spirit of these developers but wow, the trailers really demonstrate the difference between Professional and Amateur. oh well at least they're trying.

so 0/0=Nullity. uh yup.
Next up: 2+2 can be equal to 5 for very large values of 2 and very small values of 5. But what if you divide nullity by nullity? doh! Schrödinger's Cat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dinger's_cat) implodes in a paradox of infinitly improbable hokum.

Blue, go back there with a sledgehammer and cause the amount of damage your actually paying for, youll feel much better for it!
Similarly, the mention of ownership of large calibre firearms also has the effect of shutting up neighbors who'd otherwise try to milk you out of extra monies. Comments like "well, at least my collection of licensed full-auto Uzi's wasn't damaged!" tends to put a damper on whiplash-crazed parasites. (though technically 9mm is a small calibre round)
