Two Questions Nov 18, 2002, 17:19

1) Is this NV30?

2) Which will be faster: a GeForce FX card -vs- a Radeon 9700 Pro card?
(assuming same gx settings, same amount of memory, same everything, on a game or benchmark that uses all it's features)
This topic alone will keep Game News sites employed for months!

Besides the advance in gx power, another good thing that will come from this is a Price Drop in the "old" top-of-the-line GF4 4600.

You mean... malicious Criminals who destroy the hard work of others will now be punished? Golly, what a loss to society.

And poor biff. Still stuck in the 60's with his fellow self-deluded conspiracy-theory "peace activist" loonies. Look out biff! The sky is falling! The End is near!

Actually there =IS= a secret plan by The Eeevil Corporations for the entire Middle East:
Sand + intense thermonuclear Heat -> Glass, + Oil + Water = a 10,000 square mile Slip 'N' Slide!

The unique feature of AC2 will be a Dynamic player-influenced storyline. Each month, both the Live Team and new static content will advance the story-arc similar to AC1, however in AC2 the OUTCOME of the event and therefore the subsequent storyline BRANCHING will not be pre-determined, as it is in AC1.

This feature alone - the sense that there is really something Going On in a living evolving world, and that YOU can play a role in how it evolves - is more than enough to get me to pay 12.95/mo.

As for SWG - aka EQ:Galaxies - aka EverQuest Wars -
please feel free to re-visit this old preview of EXACTLY how SWG will play:

A Elite Imperial Stormtrooper_03_says ‘It’s the rebellion scum like you who have ruined your own star systems, you won’t ruin mine!!’

Lamlee auctions 'DV Cloak is +10 to Saber Strike and Laser attack, +14 to menacing bargaining and it procs Strangle Hold. And no, Imperials can't wear it'

RebelGuy shouts "lvl 86 Rebel looking for group. pls /tell"

Anti-gun, anti-military, anti-Western-Tradition =activism= is very much a "liberal" cause.

Attempts to "monkey-wrench" the judicial system and jam it up with frivolous lawsuits are an old favorite of Libs, just one of many such tactics from seemingly disparate groups such as the Union of 'Concerned' Scientists, to anti-gun screamer Rosie O'donnell, to the "One Nation Under (CENSORED)" lawsuit, to the current anti-gun "film" by fat, greasy, stuck-in-the-70's liberal loser Michael Moore.

Thompson knows the case will be thrown out.

He doesn't give a rip about guns or video games per se. What he DOES care =passionately= about is advancing the left wing agenda. In this case the method is to exploit a horrible tragedy and milk it for whatever media attention you can.

"Save The Children!".

Always interesting to see how flimsy the modern "progressive" society really is; how, devoid of any serious external regulation, it depends entirely on the willingness of people to play nice and regulate their own behavior. ONE single loser decides to Not play by the rules and the whole system falters.

Think what a mere dozen such people scattered across the country could accomplish.

mouse gestures = too many programmers with too much idle time on their hands.

Instead of wasting resources on "Gestures Initiative" fluffware, how about a "Fix the Goddamn Bugs and Security Holes!" initiative.

wtf, is anyone really falling for this bs -

"Train the Brain - Cup stacking helps train the brain for... playing a musical instrument or using the computer. Sequencing and patterning are also elements of cup stacking, which helps with reading and math skills. "

Yeah, god forbid we should ever go back to archaic concepts like "Studying" and "Practice" to achieve musical, computer, reading and math excellence. That never got us anywhere.

Jeez. And people wonder why we have to go to India and China to find Engineers.

I 'spose it's not surprising that the previous generation of NEA Publik Skool Ejookayted low grade morons would fall for such an obvious social-manipulation scam.
