Way to keep the thread on topic there Sinner. Who really gives a shit about your lifestyle, I know I for one don't. As far as not finishing highschool, nice work you tard. With regards to Sixis' post about you working the street, hows that working for you sinner?

Oh and nice sig Gandhi

Regarding the topic at hand, I agree that those running Win98 in general own systems that won't come close to running Doom 3, and that Windows XP is better equipped to handle a goliath like Doom 3. It is unfortunate that a few people will have to buy XP or 2000 but thats the way the cookie crumbles.

DVD is far from dead, but thats another topic all together. If Theif III is to be released on DVD. That means great things for Thief fans. A DVD, holding much more data, implies that the game is going to be massive, and a massive game means either amazing quality or that its going to be very long, both are great options.

Now bear in mind there have been terrible and small games released on DVD, but do you really thing the makers of Thief would put it on DVD if they didn't see a serious advantage to it?

RKone, you do realise that when Valve purchased the code, they incorporated it into their engine and in no way have any obligations to either companies when "purposely leaking" the source code. At the absolute most Valve will loose money. What exactly do you think they do when they liscence the engine to another company? There would be lawsuits left right and centre of you had your way.

Richcz3, do the many press conferences and displays made by ID stating that DOOM III will be directed towards single player and that ID couldn;t really care less about multiplayer even ring a bell. And I suppose the fact that DOOM 3 won "Best of Show" 2002 E3, and has been and still is atop the lists of most wanted games in magazines like PC Gamer and on websites like GameSpy. ID is doing what no other company can do and that is develope a single player game that people will want to play, the whole idea of Doom III is to create a blockbuster title.

And to the comment before this one, Doom III will not blow, however, Half-life 2 won't either, both are going to be instant hits, and to tell you the truth, the people who buy one will buy the other, because true gamers support even the smallest of titles and will sample everything, for all you know, Half-life 2 gameplay could be the shitiest thing in the world and like many movie previews, you only got to see the best parts of the game in the E3 trailer. Don't bash before you've sampled there buddy. :-D
