I stopped caring about this game a long time ago when they showed the new DX10 stuff off in the game like the rain and smoke effects and the thing was running like 3 fps.

In addition, Epic hasn't screwed up any games in the last 10 years (even UT2003 was fairly successful in the marketplace), so it's unlikely that they'll mess up with UT3.
Do you remember Unreal 2 the single player only game? Or was that not an Epic game? I can not remember. I hope UT3 will not be a disappointment but it seem to be the same shit over again just with prettier graphics, where Crysis gives something new to the genre, other than the pretty looks.

Yes there is single play this time around, but still. This is taking way too long to get it done. Crysis is going to hurt them if they release this game in the same month. I was hoping they would come out before Crysis does.

Isn't it sad that these guys made the unreal engine 3 and many other developers who used this engine already released their game but UT is still not done yet. I have never realized that so much development time has to go into an online shooter.

Anybody else having problems with Vista? It shows the splash screen, that goes away, and then I get the Vista "Program has stopped working, searching for a solution" window. Every time. Tried rebooting, I know my drivers are recent (8800GTX).
Maybe you should give those beta drivers a shot that just came out today.

Got my invite a few days ago when on vacation, came home, plugged in the token, downloaded the beta, played two minutes until my 360 froze up with some fucked up graphics. Restarted the system to see the Red Rings of Death .... oh well, maybe the beta will still be available in early October.

I just got a token and am getting the beta now
I got mine in the first batch and i have been playing the beta since then and it is a ton of fun. I can not wait for this game to come out. They just updated the beta a few days ago added clan tags and new weapons and weapon upgrades. This game is already rock solid they should just release it already.

To me it is. Nothing interesting. The game offers stuff that has been done before millions of times. If this game came out when BF1942 than yeah this would have been a good game, but i was bored playing the beta.

Yeah i hope you also know that the rumored Geforce 9 series cards are supposed to be mid range only the high end cards will be coming later. So if you are hoping to get the 8800GTX for cheap i do not think that is going to happen. Not like Nvidia has to release anything new nothing competes with their high end cards anyway.
