What fucked up is that the CE is not available in Canada and the game developer is Canadian eh?

Pretty Engine, all fluff, no substance.

No Gameplay, what there is, is simple at best, made to cater for n00bs

No skill required, spam, spam, spam, spam, you want a game that requires skill? look elsewhere!!

Nothing, apart from the graphics(FLUFF), has changed since the first iteration of this travesty to gaming.

I see in this thread, and have noticed in the past that people seem to be always praising the fact that Unreal Tournament has heaps of stuff, maps, game modes, etc, etc. Well, like I always say,
"It doesn't matter whether you've got a truck load of shit, or a shovel full of shit, in the end you've still just got a pile of shit. That sums up UT in a nutshell.

Well, I'll be surely getting this, this could probably be the best game ever for me, I thought the demo was an absolute blast. Coming from an almost exclusive Quake background, the game play is a little slow, but . . . , I really like the feel, the weapons, just about everything, theres not much I don't like. I even think the UI is pretty cool, at least I don't have a great dislike or hate for it as a lot seem to. Server browser, meh, who gives a shit, as long as you can connect to a server in a click or 2.

I'll be ordering all my new parts now to build my new PC, ready for release day, even though my current PC runs it fine at 1024x768 everything maxed, it's time to move on from single core, agp etc, and I'll even say farewell to my trusty old 21' CRT monitors, it's time for LCD I guess.

Bring it on!!

So are you just trolling this forum or do you actually have opinions? Or you started liking the game in this past month?

Oh lets not forget this comment, on Oct 14th:

There is only one way to fix the UT3 Demo, and it has nothing to do with a Patch/.exe

It is called 'uninstall' and can be achieved via add remove programs, or the apps uninstall, but if your in a bind you may just delete the program folder, and don't forget kiddies, delete the UT3BetaDemo.exe as well. Rid yourself entirely of this filth.

So now I am kinda confused. Do you like this game or you don't?

Tribes Vengeance was a great game not sure why no one played it. Guess people got tired of the Tribes series or something.

I think both game types the tactical and the run and gun type require skills it just depends on what kind of game experience you are looking for. I prefer the paste of Crysis and the visuals over UT3. I used to play the shit out of the original UT, and I have all the other UT games that came out after, but I am just kind of burnt out, and I am not looking for the ultra fast twitch fest type of games anymore. The demo wasn't too too bad but It doesn't make me want to buy the game.

I'll see what the reviews say about the full game.

This one is a must have in my opinion. The gameplay is a lot of fun and if you have the machine to run it the visuals are jaw dropping. I don't remember the last game on the PC I had so much fun playing it.

I have friends who never played FPS games before but because they have heard so much about this one they gave the demo a try and now they have the game preordered lol

Feels very predator-like when you grab someone while cloaked. Good times, good times.

That is my favorite suite function, being cloaked. It almost makes the game too easy sometimes.

I love it. I saw some movies where in a later level you can grab one of those flying alien thingies and then whack them with the gun while holding them in your hand. When I first saw that I got goosebumps. I was sold on the game then

I agree Jonny this game rocks man. So many different ways to play through again and again, and the graphics makes this game interesting to play every single time.

You just have to walk up close to the enemy and press "f"
It doesn't matter what kind of power you have activated on your suit. You can even be cloaked and walk up to the guy while cloaked, and grab the fucker by the throat then switch to strength and throw him across the map lol

I wonder if using Vista 64bit Vs 32bit makes any difference at all in performance. Since 64bit CPUs didn't just appear yesterday it would be nice to see games like this one would take advantage on the 64bit to boost performance a little bit.

Let's hope that you are right.
What you say make sense but I don't see how Nvidia was unable to create a driver that runs this game on acceptable speed under Vista.

They kept talking about how this game was developed with Nvidia on site helping them with the developmnet and all that stuff but the drivers Nvidia has doesn't show that.

I have a C2D and and 8800GTX and under Vista the game crawls when I have everything at max detail.
Then I run the optimize setting button and it sets everything to max.

For those guys that think this game is sucks and the graphics are bad and all that. Just out of curiosity what games do you like? What game do you think is fun and has good graphics?

I am not trolling just curious because I loved Crysis and I do not think there is any game out there that comes even close as far as graphics goes. As for gameplay I love the open environment and the ability to approach your objective in so many different ways, unlike in HL2 and all those other shooters on rails.

So to me this game is a must buy but I would love to know those people that are complaining about this game what games do you like? That satisfy your incredibly high standards.
Or is it just the style of gameplay that Crysis offers not your cup of coffee because you prefer UT3 over Crysis.

I have to admit UT3 has nice graphics but the game is so fucking fast I don't have time to look at the graphics and I think Crysis graphics engine is much better and capable of much more than UT. But that just my opinion.

Under Vista it runs like crap for me as well. I really hope it is just the drivers and they will work on that by the time the game gets released. In XP it is fine.

Pretty sure this demo does include DX10 ... users at VE are saying the same.

In Vista it lets you set your details to ultra high in the setting where in XP it only lets you do high. Not sure if that means this demo has DX10 or not.

After playing like the first 10 minutes of the demo, I am blown away!
I will definitely buy it. Not sure if it will be digital download or CD version but it is on the must have list for sure. The graphics are unbelievable.

I am using XP, I will try it under Vista as well.

I have just preordered it this morning, then I got the demo. I found the way to unlock the demo but after reading all the bitching and problems with it I decided to cancel my order so I contacted support. They canceled my order within an hour, and Now I have the demo working without paying for the full product. I am probably going to get the game anyways but I will wait until it gets released no reason to preorder it anyways, unless you want to play it the minute it gets released.

Enjoy only being able to install it so many times.

I never had any problems with that. I had to get new reactivation at least 15 times so far on GRAW through Direct To Drive and never ever get hard time from them. They never asked me why I need new activation.

To me that beats having the CDs laying around get scratched up an then they are good for shit.
