Ever heard of Resistance:Fall of Man? How about Warhawk, arguably one of the best multiplayer team shooters ever on any system?

Really well that's like saying Halo3 is the best multiplayer game ever. What's the concept of Warhawk? You fly with vehicles, you drive vehicles, you got tanks, oh and you can fight without any vehicles if you want to. Have you ever heard of a game called Battlefield 1942 on the PC?

What is so special about Resistance? What makes it a system seller? To me it is the same run and gun game as all the other ones out for both the Xbox and Playstation.

Don't give me wrong I am not a hater I am actually looking to buy a PS3 but I just can't convince myself to pay for the console with the lack of exclusives.

I think Sony's problem is the lack of exclusive titles for the console. The 2 exclusive games you mentioned (Ratchet, and Uncharted) are both single player games which means ones you played it through it is just collecting dust on your shelf. Every other game that is good game on the PS3 also available on the 360, and from what I have heard the Microsoft Live service is far more superior than the PSN even though you have to pay for it. Again I don't have a PS3 so I can't judge it myself.

Until Sony starts to produce good quality games like MGS4 and Killzone2 (judging by the videos of those games) those can be system sellers. Until then I don't think Sony will catch M$ any time soon.

Yeah in case she won't like it. I don't think that will happen but it is nice to have the option at least. I was going to get one from Ebay but then I thought maybe I better go to the store instead in case I have to return it. Also the used ones are not really that much cheaper to even bother with a used one.

I have heard it is a great little device with fun games and stuff so I am pretty sure she will like it anyways. We went to EBgames the other day to pick up my copy of Crysis and while I was in the line to pay she was playing on the DS and when I was ready I couldn't make her leave the DS stand lol.

I am glad I didn't get one yet. I am looking to get a DS for my wife for Christmas but I was holding out for a good deal.
Maybe I should hold on until boxing day I am sure there will be some price reductions.

The art style of this game is definitely pretty good looking. The gameplay however is kind of boring. Nothing really new. I felt like playing UT2003/04 with better graphics. I might still pick this up though I can see myself playing it every now and then.

What details settings do you guys playing at? I tried Vista with high settings and it was almost unplayable, so I went back to XP everything on high 16x12 resolution, I have no issues. My system e6600 c2d 2.4Ghz with 8800 GTX

The full game performs worse than the demo on my system

I've noticed that too. It supposed to be the other way around

BestBuy does the same thing with the Xbox consoles as well. They always have one or two out on the shelfs so people thinks that they grab the last one. It is a good sales tactic.

I would like to see some comparison in between using let's say a 32bit vs a 64bit OS. As far as framerate goes. This game is a hog. Unless you have a quad core with 2x8800GTX or GT in SLI forget about highest settings in details.

As I come to think of it that was pretty much the only thing that kept me playing BF2142. To unlock new guns and stuff.

SP is where this game shines.

I totally disagree. This game shines in multiplayer. With the unlock system and the perks it just makes you keep pushing on and play more and more multiplayer matches just to ge that one more rank to unlock that perk you want, or that gun you want to use. This game rocks in both single player and multiplayer. I did not finish single player yet but I am about 70% done.

I don't know if I should say PC gaming is dying but compared to what it used to be like there are definitely a lot less quality games getting released to the PC these days.
We get a whole bunch of sequels and a bunch of ports, not very many original games. I don't know any games on the PC that I would pay money for other than Crysis and World In Conflict. TF2 is fun also but again that a sequel as well. Oh and Bioshock is single player only so ones you played it through then that's it.

So than you will not buy Crysis because it has no coop but you will buy Barbie Horseback riding because it will have coop?

You toss a game into the bin after you played through the single player? Multiplayer is where this game shines. The single player campaign only takes like 5-6 hours to complete. That's hardly justify the purchase of any game.

In COD4 there is a multiplayer perks that drops a live grenade after you get killed. I was screwing around with it in the MP beta. It is a lot of fun to kill from the grave.

It may have to do with the language requirements here in Canada. Both French and English are required.

That can't be. I don't remember seeing the French language version of the videos on the Halo3 extra DVDs

I never understood why the publisher decides to not release certain stuff in different countries only in the States. What's the point? It is not like you get that extra content for free or anything like that. Or it isn't like you have to make different language versions of the extra content.
