Compared to RTT3 and even OTTD (free!) this game is abysmally simplistic and downright broken. (PS. I refunded)

To give you an idea, you HAVE to assign a platform to each line, every train is it's own line. Doing more than 4 trains on 2 platforms is a nightmare, there is no time-tabling, no chain signals, no pre-signals. You can't do terminus RO-RO nor drive-through stations.

This game is graphics and zero substance ;(

And also, maintenance sheds are in stations, so 5+ trains can stop for 3+ days in a station on their assigned platform, and there is no way to prevent this.... broken by design imo. in OTTD you could make depots have their own line and even integrate them into your pathing

Well that sucks. Thanks for the mini review. Saved me from buying this game.

Next up:
Gamers can get sued if spouses are watching the gameplay without having a second license for the game. Kids under the age of 5 will have to have half a license.
Dogs and cats do not require a license at this time.

Stunned How long is this game?

Don't worry, it's long enough for $25

I started a game when it was still in EA a while ago. The very last part wasn't finished back then. A few days ago the devs released an update to complete the game and make it v1.0.
Taken together the playthrough took me a little less than 100 hours but I did a lot of exploring (never got bored!).
Oh I see. Thanks for clarifying it.

Maybe this was popular back in WWII ??, after life & death out in the field , soldiers sat around making props to hide around the tents and play Sherlock Holmes !!??
Yeah, yeah I can see them doing that. When that got boring, they probably did some group knitting.

What really tickles my nerd side is that Elite Dangerous is based on scientific model of our universe and I can go to real planetary systems that actually exist in our Milky Way (yes, I do know that a lot of the systems were created by Star Forge, but they do keep up with NASA and new discoveries), really helps with the immersion and whole feel of the world I get to play in.

The fact that I can go and track down Voyager 1 and listen to the golden record is mind blasting on its own. It's not much, they didn't have to put it there, but they did and those kind of little things make this game awesome in my books.

Space trucking a side, there are lots of cool ED moments out there Allthumbsup

Yep I agree, I love all the attention to the smallest little details. Also the handling model of the ships is just awesome in Elite. The big ships feel like big ships and the small fighters feel like small fighters when you fly them.
No other space games gave me the same level of immersion as Elite does.

X3 was praised like the second coming prior to release, and we all know how that one turned out. I'll be keeping an eye on X4, but I don't have high hopes for it.

In addition, we are looking into adopting a new solution to detect and ban more cheaters and we have been continuously strengthening our security systems

Your game trusts the client for a lot of important information. I'm not really sure it can ever be made even remotely secure.
It works out pretty well for them. Ban cheaters, next day they re-buy the game. Rinse and repeat.
Works for CS, don't see why it wouldn't work for PUBG.
It's a rather successful business model

playing the game requires a persistent Internet connection even for single-player
This will also enable us to provide ongoing content post-launch.
