It's looking pretty good, although I hope you can zoom much farther out than that.

Syndicate 1's real time combat was insane, and led to some serious destruction and loss of civilian life and property. 4 guys with miniguns trying to only shoot enemy agents in a crowded city? Good luck.

I'd like to see some more actual gameplay and not these close up zoomed in shots to show off the models though.

It's been in my Steam wishlist for months now, definite sale buy, possible non-sale buy.
There are plenty of lets plays on youtube, but obviously all of them are the early access build.
It's in my wishlist also and willing to buy it, maybe not at launch but after

So your advice to people who want to actually still play these games is what?
Don't upgrade to Windows 10

easy now, but what when DX12 becomes mainstream?
maybe by then there will be a solution to play the old games on Win 10, if not than just keep a partition with Win 7 to play oldies

I felt the same way about the PS4. I've owned a PS4 for a few weeks but returned it. Other than Uncharted I just didn't see any games I am interested in, and I hated the controller. I prefer the xbox controllers, and layout.
I am a big Forza fan, and I like the Halo series plus a bunch of my buddies from the 360 went to the one so it was a no brainer for me.
I understand the PS4 is a better console hardware vise but I prefer the xbox. To each their own.

Yeah the hiccups while navigating the menus usually happens when a game is running. If you want to look up the achievements for example while the game is running.
I also dislike the current layout of the whole dashboard. The new looks a bit cleaner and easier to find stuff.
Where the freak are the game demos for example?

Yeah it is really sluggish atm. Sometimes going back to dashboard after pressing the button literally takes seconds before anything happens.
I'm looking forward to this update.

Really?
Yep

The game features new vehicles, characters, game mechanics, maps, and missions compared to the original Battlefront. Unlike its predecessor, Battlefront II features a more narrative-based campaign, retelling portions of the Star Wars story from the point of view of a veteran Imperial stormtrooper, reminiscing about his tour of duty in service of both the Galactic Republic and as part of the Galactic Empire.

This is the main menu of the game literally the very first option is single player campaign so I am not sure how you could have missed it

EA skipped a Battlefront campaign because "very few" would play it

Steam keys have been available since the end of May. I remember getting mine, playing a few minutes and then forgetting about it. I couldn't remember what I was doing, or how to play, or anything really. Looked cool though. Check https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=148965 for the procedure, assuming it hasn't changed.
Thanks that did work.

Go hit a massive soccer ball with a car then let us know how realistic the footwork is.
Now that you,ve mentioned it, they've done that in the TV show called Top Gear.
Of course they didn't do rocket jumps and flips but it was fun to watch anyways.:)

I know what you meant, what my point was that sometimes you have to grind for that new ship because what you enjoy doing in the game may not be so profitable. It was a pretty long haul for me also until I finally got into an Asp. There was a bug that was preventing me to jump the ships maximum jump range so I was doing the trips with a lot more jumps than what I should have had.

It does get mind mumbling sometimes and so as long as you do not set up unrealistic goals for yourself but just play the game you should be fine. Take some breaks or do something else before you burn yourself out.

I did hear they've nerfed a lot of stuff since I last played. People were buying Anacondas within a month or so playing when the game came out.

Mining and exploration were never the most profitable activities. The rare trade runs were great and killing pirates was the second best for income. Doing missions was also great for money income.
It was still a bit of a grind fest but you have to switch it up a bit to make it interesting.

Well it is a sports game, not sure if people will still play it years from now. I don't think anyone can answer that for you.
It does take a bit to be good at it though. Easy to get into it and score a few goals by accident but to be good at the game you will have to put some time in.

For a $20 game I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Which begs the question, why do you keep playing it if it's a drag? If you don't enjoy that type of gameplay than don't play it.
I've made quiet a bit of money before all the nerfs. Rare trades and pirate hunting was quiet profitable.
I haven't played in a while, but I am sure I'll come back to it some day.

By the way whatever happened with the promise of the Steam cd key for those that purchased the game from their website?
I would prefer to have this game on Steam, so I can stream it on my home network.
