Good luck trying to play a Russian battleship, all they had were WWI rejects and forget air craft carriers.
There are no Russian battleships

the PC player base will be so small.
It is small. Last time I checked the total PC players of the 3 most popular CoD games on Steam added together were less than half of the people playing Euro Truck Sim.
It was a drop in the Ocean compared to how many people are playing something like CS or Dota.
These games are for console gamers primarily, people on the PC seem to be moved on.

If there was offline play and editor people would bitch about something else like why the game doesn't run on Linux or something.
Just can't win

Wow. Looks great, but what else will there be to do?
Hopefully a lot more than just exploration. It would be awesome to have player created bases, or mining outputs etc.
You'd have to have sentry drones to protect your base etc.
There are a lot of potential, it's up to the devs to implement it into the game.

Yep it is a lot of fun, they seemed to fix most things that is wrong with WoT. Premium ammo, huge xp/cash difference between winning or loosing a game, stats pondering via 3rd party mods, etc.
AW also have coop battles against Ai, retrofit system, base building mini game, forming your own little "company" with friends, visual customization of your tank, etc.

The game also runs a lot better than WoT and looks better as well. You get a lot of cool physics stuff too like thread slipping for example that is not in WoT.
I am liking the game a lot so far. It's free for everyone so I would suggest anyone remotely interested just give it a try. Even to play against the Ai in coop is a lot of fun and doesn't require anyone to play against other human players if that is not your thing.

The developer seem to listen to feedback and tries to fix the stuff that people complain about that are coming from WoT.
Artillery works a little different in this game too, much better than the 1 shot kill in WoT.

Just like many free to play games like Game of War and Candy Crush, which make 100s of millions of dollars,
The one very big difference is those games are already out and playable, and people enjoy them, hence spending money on them.
SC on the other hand is in development. Why would anyone want to spend so much money on something they don't even know if they will enjoy in the long term?

If I play World of Tanks for example and over the period of 3 years I spend $500 on it, that is fine because I've gotten that much enjoyment out of it.
Same goes for any MMOs and the subbscription fees.
I've played EVE Online for years and I didn't feel like I wasted my money on the sub fee.

But spending thousands on a game that is not even made yet is just insane in my opinion.
Sure I do want this game to be made and I supported them with my kickstarter contribution but I wouldn't dream of spending hundreds or thousands on it just to see it being made.
According to their Kickstarter campaign they should have had enough money to finish the game they set out to make. I don't see no reason to sell virtual space ships to "help develop the game"

It should be the other way around, develop the game first and I'll decide if I want to spend more money on it or not ones I am playing it already.

It's 900$ for just the ship and modules

It's also sans tax. If I would buy that crazy shit here in EU it'd be $1,071 total.
Oh that's cheap, it costs us $1200 here in Canada thanks to the exchange rate. I don't think we have to pay taxes on it but I might be wrong.
Maybe I buy a few of these ships for friends just to see if they charge taxes

Well I am sure they will have a special ghetto edition without cup holders, toilets, windshields or landing gear for $600 but only for a limited time, while supplies last!

He probably means proper weather in the sense that weather be it heat, snow or rain or wind, should drastically alter driving and how it feels. There really needs to be a wind simulation for one. Truck driving and strong winds and how that can affect a large truck is pretty fundamental stuff.
Oh I see what you mean.
Yep that would be great to have but I am not sure this developer is big enough to implement advanced stuff like that to this game.

There is weather in the game, day and night cycles but no seasons. I think that would be awesome though.
