He probably means proper weather in the sense that weather be it heat, snow or rain or wind, should drastically alter driving and how it feels. There really needs to be a wind simulation for one. Truck driving and strong winds and how that can affect a large truck is pretty fundamental stuff.
Oh I see what you mean.
Yep that would be great to have but I am not sure this developer is big enough to implement advanced stuff like that to this game.

There is weather in the game, day and night cycles but no seasons. I think that would be awesome though.
I haven't played this in a long time, but time to get back into it.

He still has more Xpacks to get through. He promised walking around on foot eventually. If he doesn't do it, then he better watch his back for so called Internet Warlords.
Looks like he is on his way to deliver that. Ai controlled drones, multi crew ships, new avatar customization are just a few things coming to ELite. It's just a matter of time but I think he will deliver walking on planets.

Procedural isn't for everyone. But as 70M Minecraft sales can attest, it's for a lot of people. So you're probably not looking forward to NMS either then.
I'm curious about NMS. People really think it will be the next big thing but I doubt it very much.
It sounds good on paper, but will it hold people's attention after the first 2 or so hours is yet to be seen.
Without missions and interesting stuff to do all the time, the procedural generation will not keep people entertained.

I think they kind of shot themselves in the foot by allowing mods and the base game being so good, the paid DLC really have to offer a lot of value. Especially at $15
Like I said for $5, maybe even $7 I would have paid for it without hesitation because I like the game and they are an awesome PC devs, but for $15, I think it is a bit too much.

Hmm interesting list of changes in the patch notes.
Am I the only one that things after reading the patch notes that the DLC cost is a bit steep for what it is?

No, I thought the same thing, as it is pretty much 1/2 the price of what base game costs. I might pay $4.99, but certainly not $14.99.

Yep, exactly what I thought. $5 is what I would pay for it.
Especially after reading what the DLC actually include.

There's a patch out too. Here's the changelog, split into what's part of After Dark and what is added/changed with the base game. The day/night cycle isn't actually part of the DLC, it's free for everyone.

Cant wait to see what else they add to it.

my speculation is some kind of storyline campaign, kinda like the tutorial... at least, that would be awesome
Yep, that would be awesome because it isn't the easiest game to get into.
I haven't played in a long time, but I remember struggling with it at early stages.
So a tutorial would be most welcome.

So instead of using cloud power to run servers for instanced games, they are using dedicated servers to instance their games.... I'm still wondering why any of you give EA any money at this point.
Because at the end of the day their games are still fun even with all this bullshit piled on top of them.
I did not get hardline but BF4 is still one of the best MP fps games out there.
If there was a better alternative out for Battlefront I bet EA wouldn't sell as many copies of this game as they will.

Yes the survival mode. Which is like the MP mode in Mass Effect. Kill waves after waves of enemies.

So according to that Samsung promo video you better have some snazzy phones if you want to pick up chicks in a coffee shop. Whipping out your iPhone 6S+ 128Gb in rose color may not do the trick no more.

6. Re: Need for Speed: No Paid DLC or Microtransactions Sep 15, 2015, 12:49 SpectralMeat

I have EA Access on the xbone which will give me a 10hrs trial of this game when it comes out.
I do not have high hopes for an EA made NFS game but this no paid DLC and micro transaction crap is certainly a move in the right direction.

I think they are worried about the competition on all platforms as there are some pretty awesome racing games available these days wherever you play. They will have to nail this NFS game or it won't sell at all. Especially with a track record like the NFS franchise. They've been putting out shit after shit for so many years now.

We'll see
