My only point was born from the often excited comments of "hey look with this coupon its 20% off on GMG". My point was that that's nothing special because it may be a 20% coupon, but it's 20% off 60 bucks. There's dozens of sites out there where the game is just around 48 dollars/euros without that marketing trick. See the link I posted earlier. So, 20% off on 60 bucks with a coupon just a marketing mindfuck, like 14,99 instead of just 15,00.

That was all. That was it. But it was blown up.
Ok got ya

You just wait. The GMG expired coupon will either be replaced by a new one in a second, OR they'll just ditch the coupon for a short while and the game will simply be 20% off as it is at right about every other site (20% off if you compare it with the 60 dollar pricetag).

Lets wait and see who's right, shall we?
Quinn
I am trying to understand what your point is here.
The standard prices of games is $60 US.
What's that got to do with the coupon or sale prices on GMG.
You seem to confuse standard regular prices of games with sale prices offered by a 3rd party website.

It's kind of like saying well from now on I will take the Mexican or Russian game prices as standard because for me that is a fair price and every other place is just over price everything so they can mind fuck people into thinking they are buying something on sale with a coupon.

In North America the standard regular price of games is $60US and it's regional equivalent based on currency exchange rate. This is not up to debate.

"lets make it 20% or so more expensive while give it a 20% discount".
Well that is the thing, GMG doesn't make the game price 20% higher to sell you the game with the coupon at the standard price.
Compare Steam or Origin prices to GMG prices before the coupon and you'll see.
Fallout 4 costs $60 on Steam and on GMG as well. The difference is GMG give you a coupon for 20% off, Steam doesn't.

US dollars I'm talking about. The default price is 50 dollars max. Now there's a 20% discount and suddenly they pretend like the default price is 60 dollars. I never see 60 dollars as a default price. That's console numbers, not PC.

I am guessing you aren't buying too many AAA games at launch. The $60 USD has been standard for a few years now. Activision and EA games are famous for that, but UBI titles are also $60 or if you live in Canada than $80
Basically same as console game prices.
Usually PC exclusive games are $50 or less, but if you look at any new release games like CoD, Battlefield, Fallout, Anno, etc they are all $60USD

Just to be clear I am taking Steam and Origin pricing as standard.

So when is the next ship JPEG sale slated?
As soon as they are finished rendering the commercial video for it that one of the contracted studios has been working on 24/7 in the past few months.

I've been playing this all day today and loving the game. I get much more into it than I ever could into 2070.
The combat sucks but combat always sucked in 2070 as well.
Glad I got the game from GMG.

There are a few coupons floating around but none of them works with games that are already discounted.
I've tried them on Anno

Anyone interested in this GMG has it on sale for $34
It is the Uplay version not Steam.
The Steam version also uses Uplay, so no way around that.

For anyone interested GMG has the game for $44 here ($58CDN way better than the $80CDN Steam wants)
Or just wait for a sale after the game is released.

What was it that you disliked so much about AW?

how about the fact that at the moment, all MP playlists for PC are %100 dead. you can't play multiplayer. no multiplayer. bye bye multiplayer. and it's like that a lot. 1/12 looking for teamates for 60 seconds then it just kicks you back to the main menu. 90% of playlists were dead on the second day after launch. AW on PC sold 10 copies it seems...
That's interesting because I've been playing without issues every night in the past 2 weeks. Plenty of MP games online
Maybe your NAT is closed or something, you have to make sure your nat settings are open
AW is far from being a very popular MP game but I can find a game to play pretty much any time of the day online. I usually just play TDM so maybe the game mode you try to play is not popular?

I actually don't mind these games so much, they are a fun distraction every now and then for a half an hour at a time. Reminds me the good old UT days. Just run around spray and pray and be done with it.

I am not in the mood for BF these days, you have to rely too much on team work and if you play with random people online good luck with teamwork.
CoD was always the lone wolf type of MP experience.
I don't think I will buy this new one at full price though, it just isn't worth that much for me.

Between this and and the ultra popular mute the speakers if you don't want to hear retards singing Counter Strike, I get my online fps fix.

I can already see the headlines, this was the biggest CoD launch ever, this game is the best one yet, CoD made records sales numbers and tripled last years copies sold in the first 24 hrs, preorder your DLC pack now while supplies last!

Jeez, June?

Hope people still want the game by then. Elite is releasing their planet exploration expansion end of this year and I think there are other games on the horizon that should be out by then.

I think these guys are shooting themselves in the foot waiting that long. Star Citizen's single player campaign might even be out by then! (Squadron 42)
I don't think their target audience is the PC market. On the PS4 there aren't any games like this, hence the PS4 hyping and no mention of the PC.
Like someone mentioned in this thread I wonder if the PC version will even be released in June

Main thing working against them right now is the lack of gameplay. Yes, you can go from planet to planet naming things and collecting materials...it's all very cool. What else do you do? If that's all there is, that's not much.

Yeah this game doesn't look like one of those story driven open sandbox games. Ones you discover a few planets, fight some space wars and stuff it will get repetitive. Procedural generation doesn't automatically makes good gameplay.

You're literally saying, "Stop complaining, you got your pizza didn't you?"
Nope
What you are saying is, following your pizza logic is this

I saw my neighbour ordering pizza
They didn't include a dipping sauce with it even though he paid for it.
Fuck those scumbags at the pizza store, they are ripping people off.
As soon as they have crispy bacon as a topping I'll be ordering their pizza too!

- None of this worked, so we decided to triple the size of our team.

- No, really. We weren't making enough money to pay everyone, so we decided to triple the size of our team.
- ????
- Stop looking at us like that!
- Oh... now we need to make even more money to pay all our employees.
- So, microtransactions?
- Microtransactions.

- None of you like them, but apparently a lot of you are buying them, because we're making more money.

Guy is complaining about Elite doesn't have offline single player mode, even though Frontier said in the kickstarter campaign that it would have that.
They cut it out the last minute for whatever reason.
Because of that Elite didn't deliver on promises.
I called bullshit on his assessment and now everyone is upset. Especially the troll
