I didn't install the ones they've just came out with yesterday

Those are apparently incredibly bad, massive performance hits to everything, Windows won't boot for some people, ect. Not sure if you heard that yet, but it would be a good idea to avoid them.
Yep, I've heard that is why I skipped them.
I think Nvidia replaced those now or removed from their site.
Either way the ones I am currently using work just fine so no reason to "update" my drivers.
Not to mention for some reason Nvidia drivers screw up my Creative Labs drivers I've mentioned in another thread so I usually skip a few driver versions before I download the latest and greatest.

Yet people are giving it average to negative reviews everywhere that a collective score can be gathered.

Which of these people weren't able to try the beta? Surely they knew how it'd play?
Nothing new there.
People beta test BF games and CoD games and everything else under the sun yet when the game comes out they give it negative reviews.
Makes no sense to me.
If you didn't like the game in beta why the fuck did you buy it?

I'm really enjoying it as well. However, at level 7, I'm still using the starter weapons (although modded). I can't seem to find anything that increases the DPS over them. I should probably head to the DZ, but dammit, I want to improve the base! I suppose I could .. *gasp* .. buy a weapon from the vendor instead of waiting until one drops.

Now if I only had more time to play.

don't sell your gear/weapons to vendors, recycle it and use the materials at the crafting station. You can convert green materials into blue etc.
Found that out the hard way

I am running a single 970 and everything set to the max, 1080p.
The benchmark tool gave me avg 60fps
Might have vsync enabled forgot to check.

Not sure why you are getting bad performance with your cards.
I am running Win10 and the second last Nvidia drivers.
I didn't install the ones they've just came out with yesterday

That's interesting, I've got way better weapons as drops and just doing missions.
It's nice that you can carry your mods from one weapon to another too.

Same here, mostly solo but teamed up for a mission with another player and we did it on hard diffculty.
It was fun. Even without mics we were able to complete the mission. Although I've needed to be revived a few times.
At the end of the mission the other player was doing the clapping animation while I was fumbling around looking for the keys for the other animation.
He probably thought I am a rude jackass for not thanking him for the help.

It was good times anyways.
I like the game, regardless of what everyone thinks of it.

Let the hate flow through you

You've been here for a long time, you know how it goes on blues. First, this is a new IP, that means it's not an HD classic remake. Second it's Ubisoft. Third, it's a console game.

MOAR HATE!!!!!
Oh I know how it goes, game is still fun even if it ticks off all those boxes.

Spectralmeat you are using the DanielK drivers and not actual Creative drivers right? I feel like we talked about that previously.

Haven't seen that exact issue but the version 3.4 pack (the first one after the W10 launch) of DanielK drivers had a headphone detection issue that was resolved in the newer ones... maybe worth looking at.

I don't install the nVidia HDMI audio or 3d vision drivers so I don't know if that would cause it.
No, I am using the Creative drivers.
I've tried those DanielK drivers before but they didn't workout for some reason, can't remember now what it was.
Didn't have a reason to install any other drivers until this Nvidia issue came up recently.

Running a Creative ZxR win 10, and I don't have this problem. Odd...

Have you tried uninstalling your NVidia drivers with DDU? Maybe try that at least once. Boot into Windows, see if you still need to reinstall your Creative drivers, then update your NVidia drivers.

I'll try that, thanks for the tip.
It's been acting up on me with the last 2-3 Nvidia driver updates. Even though I do not install Nvidia audio drivers thinking maybe those were messing with the CL ones.
I also have the ZxR and when the driver acts up my headphones just stop working all together.

Are you running Win7 or 10?
It may be a Win10 issue. I've never had that before on 7

Great QA work from Nvidia. I'm glad I didn't "upgrade" my drivers.
Not to mention every single time I install a new Nvidia driver it screws up my Creative Labs drivers so I have to reinstall those.
PIA!

Bullshit DLC so high priced. Been hard to get games going and for some stupid reason NO ONE plays CTF.
Prime example of how paid DLC divides up the player base.

The only thing unique here is that you get to name things you find first and the name sticks for everyone.
I believe the name of the pilot who discovered the planets will be indicated but you do not get to name planets.
At least that is what I thought how it works.
Otherwise the naming will go way out of hand not to mention coming up with new names after a few million planets have been named.
