I must be the only one not looking forward to this game. I've not liked any of the reboots. The story doesn't seem bad, however, I just don't like the game-play. The last game I watched Seagull stream it and it looked awful. It looked very dated, mechanically.
Nope you're not the only one.
I've tried to get into the previous games many times but just didn't do anything for me.
I know a lot of people loved the previous games though.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is the problem with online gaming, period, and Overwatch is no exception to the rule whatsoever. 90% of online gamers are toxic, shit-talking, holier-than-thou, whiny little bitches, no matter what game they're playing. This is why I stopped playing online games years ago, but I see that nothing has changed.
This is one of the reasons I do not like team based online games. I know there's a lot of hate on these boards for CoD but I much prefer that game as my online MP fps game since you can just play as you like solo. The game doesn't rely as much on team play as many others like BF series or TF, Overwatch etc.

Unless you have a dedicated group of friends you play these team based mp games with, good fucking luck finding a non toxic mp game these days.

I am considering this but will probably end up getting the 703 or 900. There are some decent deals on the 900 as Logitech is pushing the 903
That charging pad they have looks interesting. Would never have to charge the mouse again

Nice. Spend 2 days downloading 18 and a half gigabytes, go to click play, the play button is gone.

Oh, the open beta is already over.

Thanks, Blizzard and Activision!
Exact same situation here.
Love these 2 day long betas in the middle of a work week

Oh well I am sure there will be some free weekends to try if not there's plenty of games to play. Wallet is happy

Ah. The Canada Tax. That blows.

The kicker: "Regional pricing will make it more fair!" Actual price that it should be listed as: $49CAD vs $40 USD, since the Canadian dollar has gone up by a considerable amount in the last half year.
Yeah it's weird. Steam used to be on top of regional pricing when it came to exchange rate, but not lately.
With the 15% off at GMG it works out to be $42CDN vs $54CDN via Steam.

Since it took me about an hour to figure this out, I figured I'd post it here and save someone the aggravation.

I started playing, and everything looked the same. Same intro mission, same shitty "Get the exploding generator" mission, same mission timers, same cutscenes. I check that the DLC is installed, yep. Every review I read says that WotC basically starts on the second mission. I play another mission, still nothing.

Sigh

Exit out, go back to the splash screen. There is a War of the Chosen logo there. So why is it not starting????

Turns out you have to CLICK that logo to select War of the Chosen as your game mode... So if you were wondering, there you go.

Thanks Creston
Guess it's better figure this out the 2nd mission in vs the 252nd

Think this will be enjoyable playing solo? Are pub groups a thing? My gaming opportunities tend to be rather random and inconsistent, so any kind of regular gaming time with others is unlikely for me.
I'm in the exact same boat.
The first one had a fantastic shooting mechanics, it was very satisfying to shoot stuff, and I've also played that with a buddy in coop so it was fun. Not sure about the second one but will check the beta out.

Could it be CLiffy B and that PC gamers have a longer memory then their console counterparts? Go back to consoles CLiffy

Could it be its yet another hero shooter in a "me too" genre?

Could it be that most competitive shooter gamers have that itch scratched by CSGO and (sigh) Overwatch?
Don't forget PUBG as well from that list.
I guess Cliffy has to learn that in 2017 you need more than twitch gameplay and pelvis thrust animation to earn gamers $$

I didn't watch that Let's Play, but I thought it looked rather solid from what I have seen. Not GotY or anything, but better than just decent. I would consider picking it up, but I have too much of a game backlog right now.
They weren't ripping the game, at least as much as I've seen from the let's play it wasn't negative by any means, I just didn't find the gameplay interesting.
If you're into this style of game I am sure it's great, but doesn't sound like they are doing too well in sales, so I don't know how active this game will be in a few months.
For a MP only game that can be a death sentence

I was watching (rather started watching but turned it off after 10 or so minutes) some let's plays last night from Giant Bomb and it was enough to make my decision not to get this game.

The gameplay just seemed kind of boring. There are some gimmicks like shooting backwards to propel you in zero gravity area and what not, but I didn't see anything that made me want to buy/play this game.

Based on what? They've shown no indication that this is going to be any different than how they've operated the past few years.

People on Blue's News probably don't waste money on a F2P card game but sadly the amount of money Blizzard makes off Hearthstone, and the amount of money that Valve makes off selling Dota skins and TF2 hats to morons, can you really blame them for being greedy cunts? I mean there's apparently a massive army of idiots out there that like to spend a lot of money on this cheap shit. Blame the idiot gamers who have embraced the culture of watered-down, P2W garbage, not the corporations whose sole existence is to extract as much money from said idiots as possible.
I still don't get all the hate. Not talking about your post, just commenting regarding your post in general.

I personally can't stand MOBA games but that doesn't stop millions of other peeps to play it.
Not sure how my gaming or general life style gets any better by spewing my hatred of MOBAs on every forum possible.
Guess I am missing out

I am guessing nobody because they're free to play.
I'm totally addicted to Gwent though. It's by far the best one out there imho
