News Comments > Chris Taylor Leaves Wargaming

I think he meant in comparison to SupCom1 it was a disappointment. SupCom2 isn't too bad but imo doesn't even come close to SpuCom1. It was scaled way back so consoles can run it too, as well as people can play it with controllers.
Unfortunately it wasn't a very good or successful game on the console either.
I don't think strategy is a genre that would do well on consoles, but who am I to tell. I am sure those that make RTS games for consoles did their research before they develop games for the platform.

if anyone's on the fence about this title, it's currently 32 dollars on origin when you use the code TITAN20 at checkout; it stacks with the current black friday sale.
Wow that price didn't take long to come down.
Is the game popular online?

Got into a match and got my ass handed to me on a silver plate. Was a good reminder why I didn't buy the game the first place.
I am sure it is a great game, but obviously not for me.

Blue didn't mention it above but the Origins Edition of the game ($59.99) is on sale 40% off $34.99 until the 28th of Nov.
Good time to buy the game if you wanted it. Link here

Oh wow, not for me.
What kind of CPU and video card do you have?
I am running an i5-2500k OC to 4.5 and 970GTX.
Looking at the CPU utilization it is only at 30% load.

From the menu screen to load into game it literally takes a couple of minutes.
It is a pretty late game I am loading in, nearly at the very end of my first play through but still the load time is ridiculously long.

I didn't test this out, but I really hope the patch improved the load times a bit. It is ridiculously long, and I have the game installed onto my SSD!

I didn't play as much as Half Elf (damn you Civ6) but what I've played I like the game.
There's so much details, I didn't know you can do half the stuff Half Elf talked about in his write up.
Just buy it, you won't regret it.
It also looks absolutely gorgeous on my system and runs very smooth, although I haven't built any humongous theme parks yet, so we'll see how is the performance with big parks.

a bit fabricated in feel.
You can always do your own research and check out some gameplay videos and decide yourself.
I personally have no idea about RCTW hence I did not say anything bad about the game either.
It might be good, but for now my money is on Planet Coaster

I got Civ6 from greenmangaming.
Right before the game came out they've e-mailed me a code to get 23% off or something, so it was a little more acceptable price than what Steam wanted for it.
Mind you I love the game so no regret buying it. I wish I can get some extra free time on sale somewhere. Just one more turn

Is this the good one? I can't keep them straight.

Planet Coaster is the good one and it unlocks tomorrow. Way too expensive atm - $60 - so I'll be waiting for it for a while.

Its $40.49 on steam right now, not $60.
He is in Canada that is why he sees the higher price
With the 10% discount it is $54CDN
I've had a few bucks from selling trading cards so the grand total came to $50CDN for me.
If the game will be half as much fun as the youtube vids suggest I'll have money's worth out of this game.

I have a 970GTX currently, and my current driver version is 368.22 which is I believe one of the last driver released before the 1XXX series cards were released. I have had no stability problems with them and solid framerates throughout.
Problem is some games won't even start unless you run the latest driver versions.
Battlefield 1 is one of those. Fucking annoying

Speaking of annoyances, those pop ups prompting you to update your video card driver before it let's you launch the game does bug the shit out of me.
It doesn't even let me start the game without running the stupid video card driver update.

Also play the game that Donald Trump won the election off by saying Hillary Clinton has failed the USA with Benghazi and got one of the most influential players in EVE killed. Sean Smith AKA Vile Rat.
?? Whaa?

Sean Smith, one of the americans killed in the Benghazi attacks, was a "talking point" during and before the elections; it should be easy enough to find a few mentions of his name here and there, as well as his grieving mother's speech at the RNC denouncing Clinton.

He was known in EVE as Vile Rat, undoubtedly among the top 3 most influential players in the game, both in its virtual politics and social aspects, and as a player representative for the developers. He was also a Something Awful goon, but I'm not sure what pull if any he had over there that wasn't directly related to his EVE antics.

That's just general context, though; the exact meaning of that comment is something I'm unable to decipher.

Oh thanks for the explanation. I did not know anything about him until it was mentioned here.
Still unsure what Trump has to do with EVE Online

Oh yes Westworld is really really good.
I am enjoying it very much. Best TV show in my book since Stranger Things.
There aren't a lot of crappy movies/tv shows that Anthony Hopkins plays in.

I haven't seen last night's episode so please don't spoil it for me.
