Does anyone actually believe the ETAs for any given Kickstarter, especially after stretch goals are added? Games get delayed all the time. Usually, these delays occur before release dates are announced but with KS, you don't have that luxury.

Well, a huge portion of the game world is clearly there for multiplayer. I never had a reason to visit the wind farm in single player, but then they have you race jets at insanely low altitude through it in multi.

RollerCoaster Tycoon was an economic game which would appeal to plenty of the Elite crowd. They did the same thing with Elite Dangerous, limiting their beta to those who
are exploitablehave nostalgia and disposable income.

It seems to me that the current gen of consoles came out of the gate barely able to play current games well. And these things are supposed to have a cycle of 5 - 10 years. /shrug

I've been waiting 20 years for another great space sim and so far I'm loving this game.
Dude, Freelancer was only 11 years ago ;-)

Watching all the fools pony up money to play a so called beta. Beta's used to be about testing the product before release. Now it is releasing the product to earn cash. Calling this a beta is a hoot it is a release for the high rollers.

The final game will have online and offline single player.

Besides, after all this time, you think devs would have gotten smart enough to know NOT to ever give specific times for release! How many times has this blown up in their collective faces over the last 20 years? Seriously, stop giving 'concrete' release dates! You're only hurting yourself!

I've always liked the Civilization series, but the civilizations felt out of place during certain eras. Seemed odd having the Montezuma or some ancient leader in modern times.
I'd like to see a civilization game that is set on another planet with completely random and unique civilizations that are not based on anything on earth. Perhaps that is where this is going?
