RTS gaming was much better when people had to connect via IP address with no matchmaking. Back then the community was nice and all players had manners if they wanted to get into a good game. I have no problem if they have records in ladder play, because I will never play that.

In my day we got 40 rods to the hogshead and that's the way we like it!.....zzZZZZZzzzzZZZZ. <snort!> Deaaaath DEAAAATH!

Why would I do a quest that takes 10 minutes and yields 1500 exp, when I could do a PvP scenario that takes 10 minutes and yields 8000 or more exp, not to mention realm points.

You obviously exaggerating. 1500exp is the amount you would get for a PvE if you where around lvl 6. 8000 exp in a bg you would have to be about lvl 20+.

So you either have not played the game very much or at all or you are delutional.

I like the PvE story line (especially the green skins lol) and the tomb of knowledge keeps me exploring the world. The AI of the NPCs are very rudimentary so it keeps the PvE from being exceptional.

The 25 years of Warhammer lore and history definitely makes the world very rich.

You can place AoC's failure right in the the lap of their total lack of QA and patch testing. Patches just get pushed out without ANY testing at all. Balance changes are knee-jerk and without though. This is the problem with AoC.

So far I'm having a lot of fun with this one. Will it last? I don't know. But I know I can go PVP and have fun at level one instead of having to grind 70 lvls to grind 4 maps.

So as it stands I'm having more fun then I did with WoW. So nothing else matters.

I've read early previews from people who have played it there's not much to be exited about if you are a big fan of Fallout 1/2. But if your an oblivion fan your gonna love the stiff animations and awkward combat.

I think Bethesda is one of the most overrated RPG developers out there. Give me Black Isle or Trolka any day over these talentless ass clowns

I've been playing since open beta and thu the early start. The PVP has been so much fun I've hardly done any questing.
Here's hoping it stays this much fun to the end!

The game does have promise it's just still lacking tons of polish and work at most times it feels as if it has no soul, then other times it has as much soul as WoW. I will be picking the game up eventually just probably around 3 months after release. There were points in the open beta where I really got pissed because of all the bugs and started swearing at mythic lol.

Huh? What are you smoking? This is exacly the type of game MMORPG's have needed. Instead of playing little 5vs5 arena games and grinding AV till your blue in the face, Warhammer has made a game that caters to PVPers that want to mix it up in a wide open environment.

I'm really enjoying the beta and as for bugs I have had no crashes and only minor animation bugs.

Both my nephews(age 8 and 12) and myself are bored of the game already after 2 days.

I bought 1 copy and cracked it for my nephews machines (we live in the same house) but I still feel ripped off.

I'm getting flashbacks to B&W... I'm going back to playing more Warhammer Online.

I hope its good. I picked up Two Worlds recently and played it at the latest patch 1.7 and while the story is weaker, I think I enjoy the overall game (2W) more. Many thanks to CD Projekt though. I stopped playing Witcher so long ago I've forgotten much of it.. Great support!

/slaps you for mentioning two worlds and The Witcher in the same sentence.

Two Worlds was garbage.

Well I just have to say I'm having a lot of fun in spite of my misgivings about this game.

It's ugly as fuck but, damn if the PVP isn't a ton of fun.

If the pvp is this good for all the lvls I might have to pick this one up.

I know this may sound odd but this game has no replay value what so ever. If you play thru the tribal game you realize there is absolutely no strategy involved in it.

It's not just hardcore gamers but anyone will quickly realize that the core game is very lacking.

I can't say I'm surprised at all the high scores on the big review sites.

This is B&W all over again. It's another a high minded concept hamstrung by poor game design.

I'm finding the customization is unprecedented, but under the surface the games are pretty shallow. Your better of playing Civ4 or GalCiv and a good RTS on the side if your looking for a deep challenge.

Those who like to fiddle with things and like to invent wacky creatures/vehicles and buildings will find lots here to do.
