Both the NIN and System of a Down versions of Zelda are fake. Someone even asked the band themselves on Loveline. I forget who it was done by though..

I'd be willing to say this live version and the SotD fake are the same band.

This could very well be caused by the copy protection on the CD. Morrowind and GTA3 are both recent games that ran very poorly for large numbers of people, until the copy protection was removed. Recommend checking gamecopyworld for an exe fix in the next few days. It's a shame that publishers continue to saddle their developers' games with laughable copy protection schemes. All the hardcore gamers, and certainly everyone who pirates, know how to work around copy protection, so they end up hurting only honest people who purchased the title who lack the knowledge to circumvent it. Blah.

Not true. GTA3's slowdowns was the replay feature. I played that game with and without protection, and nothing. Someone had a fluke install that didn't have replays.. and it was smooth as silk always.

OSDN did this, but again, I don't see how respect factors into this. It's basically saying losing money means respect if you look at it.

Glad to see at least someone sees the bandwagon patriotism. Yes, there are really people who really care, and yes there are people who will raise their flags everyday religiously. Just wanted to clear that up.

That's true. Where I live, I could see the smoke cloud from the towers too, despite living a good 20-30 minutes from the city (not sure about the distance from the towers themself) Almost lost an uncle, who's a police officer, in there too.

[qts the fact that you are seeing an icon destroyed on TV that changes it not the method of attack or the going after civilians. If that mattered we'd have had the same reaction to srebrenica as we did last september. genocide is (sadly) part of our world view, exploding skyscrapers wasn't.[/q]

We were seeing an icon destroyed on TV because the media shoved it down our throats, and still are to this day.

That's one of the things I don't like about most cultures, at least what I know of them, is the dwelling on of death. Being forced to go to one's funeral is NOT the right thing to do. I would've been disgusted if I were told that, and probably still would have refused if I didn't want to. There was a girl that died of cancer where I used to live, and there was mourning, a whole setup of flowers and a we'll miss you message written in sidewalk chalk. Respectful, but not even close to what that boy got. I'd say it had to do with the fact he was the quarterback, which is a sad statement, but sometimes true. I don't know the whole situation there though.

My comment about the Russians is basically trying to put it in persepctive. 3000~ civilians is being taken as the worst thing that ever happened (no exaggeration in some cases, some people have phrased it like that) when there are far more than that. Mind you I'm sure more than 3000 people did not want to fight, or were civilian themselves. It shows that things can be much worse. AIDS in Africa, etc, stuff that you've probably heard a million times. The day after day dwelling is not called for.

This bandwagon patriotism (which is all I see it as) really gets to me. If you cared about your country, you'd have a flag up every day, not just after something big happens, or people die.

I'm not at all trying to downgrade the seriousness of the events. The aftermath is what concerns me the most.
Nice to see some actual intelligent conversation going on here.

I just fail to see how not posting a logo of a game, a normal activity, or OOTB, is going to respect anyone, especially when the same scenes are being rammed down our throat today, and nothing truly unique, and respectful.

Is posting a logo with a game less repsectful then showing the planes ramming into the building, almost in a constant loop? I don't think it is.

Last year, for the 3-6 month anniversay, we had a "tribute" slideshow, and most of it was picture fo the buildings exploding. They showed pretty close shots of people jumping.

When I die, I want to be remembered for what I did, not how I died. But I'm getting off the main point

I know I'm going to get flamed out for this, but it has to be said. The terrorists wanted to hurt America, change things. They WANT absolute defeat, but they know they can't so they wanted to upset America, and we gave in. We from the start should've stood strong.

27 MILLION Russians, both military, and civilians died in World War II. 27 million, on the Russian side alone. Puts things in perspective for me.

That adventure map is hella cool can't wait for the full mod.

I'm still wondering what ever happened to getting on with our normal lives. Don't give me your preachy BS, I am not a minority in my thinking. Can name 10 people offhand that have my thinking with the crap that is going on today. I've gotten over it, and while respecting the losses, am going on with my normal activities.

Why can't you?

I can't say enough good things about SpamAssassin.. it's a tool for mail servers, but there's an outlook filter I haven't tried that. All marked mail is filtered into a junk folder (though you can do anything with it, as it adds a header in the server version)

Haven't had a false positive/negative in quite a while.. about 8-10 spams a day.

Blue, I know exactly what you mean, being a dog person myself. We've seen quite a few lost dogs on the highway, and streets here, and even taken them in our car and returning them.

But yea, the Major Deegan sucks quite a bit, but glad to see the dog is doing fine at least from the hit.
