When you choose servers the latency is represented by a light instead of a number
and everyone else whining about the colored ping.
...you could just press "Advanced" to see numbered ping and all sort of filters. Not that hard.

Anyway, the gfx might not blow you away but they sure are the best in an RTS. With the high detail option enabled in the full version this might be a really good looking game. Not only that, but it was great fun. Classical Spellforce gameplay.

Loved Spellforce 1 and just tried this one out. Looks great, almost like Oblivion RTS. Ran great on maxed setting with my 6800gt. A solid demo that ensured my money.
Spellforce 1 had terrible voice acting, nr2 is a little better but it still bugs me. How hard can it be?

Dont know why you brought it up, but anyway, live action transformers could seriously rock. Cant remember many Toys->Movie adaptions. Just hope it isnt like the PCgame->Movie trend.

I loved TA and DS. I must be a freak of nature.
And it must have been more then just me that liked it if they made a DS2 + expasion pack in the works. Just because someone doesnt like a game doesnt mean it's bad. I hate coh2, but It's a great game in itself. I hate sport games but that doesnt mean they are bad games.

I think Total Annihilation is in the works but is called "Supreme Commander" or something.
And I fully agree with X-COM: Terror from the Deep 2. *looks over the shoulder at the original box...* Man have I wasted hundreds of hours in that game. I could waste hundred more...
And I may be the only one who thinks Die by the Sword was fun. Sure the controls were...different. But it really felt like YOU were cutting the flesh of the enemies, not just pressing a button and watching your avatar going through the animation rutines. DbtS 2 ftw!

Firstly the 1.2 patch should fix almost all bugs and fps issues. I did for me anyway. One more trick to get a huge amount of fps is to simply hide the hud (Shift-H). For some very strange reason the hud slows down the game. I cant understand why cause the hud isnt an object of any type, it doesnt have polys or textures...
Anyway, if you are just flying around selling and buying like me, you dont need the hud so often, so I leave it off.

More bass! Weapons sound were so weak, but maybe cause they are so weak? Otherwise I liked the game, cool hud, commands, lots of action, team chatter that doesnt get repetitive.
...but maybe I dont hate this game cause there simply arent any other right now. Everything good was released back in 2004.

X-COM: Terror from the Deep is the best game ever made so thats why it stays installed forever . X-Com apocalypse was...ok, but not as good. What I really was hoping for was that X-COM fps game thats was developed but later canceled.
Screenshots looked good, (unreal 1 engine) and it was supposed to be just like the old x-com games, just that you would be able to take over downed ufos in fps...
Anyone remember that one? Think there are any screens left on the intarweb?

He's right, he proved his point. That the d3 engine can handle large areas. Those examples looked like they were made very quickly just to show large areas, so complaining about the textures quality when there was no work on them is kinda moot.

And to fend of d3 fanboy accusations, let me just say that HL2 is a great game too. It's just that d3 is getting a little too much flaming lately, so I felt sorry for it
