The movie does stand the test of time. I rewatched it a couple months ago and loved it.

Did anyone read "Born on the same day" article, see the photo, and think, "OMG children are having children these days!"?

I thought the first movie was great. The way they handled all the propaganda and politics around the war. It was a nice bit of satire.

Learning to play the drums in rockband has given me a new appreciation for the music I listen to. I now hear the individual drums going. The last concert I saw, I found myself staring at the drums much of the time.

Plus singing is way fun. I played Enter Sandman with my friends last night-- felt really good to belt that out.

Why would you buy GH3 with one instrument when you've got 4 options with rockband? Ok, bass isn't so much an option, but four player multiplayer rocks!

Beamer,

I'm right with you on Death Rally. Remedy sure knows how to make a good game.

I found the Xwing collectors edition a while back, which had Windows versions of Tie Fighter and Xwing along with all their expansions. It might of had Xwing Alliance as well. Tie Fighter's the only one I've played all the way through including the expansions.

I'd highly recommend that for getting the joystick back up and running.

Pretty fun game. Had some great weapons including the omega bomb. Vending machines for buying ammo were a fun touch, and who doesn't love jetpacks?

Woah, impressive that they kept the Venom arc hidden for so long. People were speculating brock would become venom at the end of the film and lead into Spiderman 4, but looks like we get three separate villians. Woah

You're dealing with urban students here batman. They don't have cars, and once they leave school they are in the city and have to live in it. All those items above are prequisites for navigating NYC.

Game rocks. I'll be buying a season pass once they announce the upgrade offer to people who bought the first episode.

Sam & Max are finally back.

Bah I was expecting it to be related to the awesome Scorched Earth game! The one with the little tanks and nukes and death heads. Sigh...

On a lighter note, White and Nerdy is pretty freaking awesome, and Renaissance looks better than Sin City.

Maybe you like tentacle porn, Dan.

I think she looks really pretty in the last photo, make up or not. It's a welcome change from the crack-whoredom of picture 5.

I mostly agree with Bat's assessment. Keaton was an awesome batman, but his curly frock didn't do anything for wayne. Kilmer, I thought, had the highest total score for Batman and Bruce Wayne. However the Batman portrayal should have a higher weighting so he doesn't get the win. Clooney was a pretty good Wayne, but yeah his batman was just fucking pitiful as was the rest of the movie.

Bale did a good job with both I felt. His Batman voice is overdone, but otherwise I really enjoy him in the role.

Of course my favorite Batman is Kevin Conroy, he nails both characters. Try to watch Mask of the Phantasm sometime. My Tivo caught it on TBS at like 3am last month-- what a great trip down memory lane.

Lastly on the Microsoft speech snafu, Rob Chambers' wrote an article in his blog describing the problem http://blogs.msdn.com/robch/archive/2006/07/29/682479.aspx. The error seen in the demo is actually not all that uncommon when someone gets flustered using speech reco.
