They have been internally testing it for the past year pretty hard. Now I'm sure as with all other games the networking will have bugs. But multiplayer isn't their big concern, so I guess you'll just have to wait for patches

You mean 0 dependence for employer to take out the most taxes. Not file 0 dependence on your 1040 cause that would be stupid.

Apparently you need a "key" to register the beta, I'm thinking you get this key after you install the game, but where to download. Mention of fileplanet.. no its a fileplanet subsriber only beta BLAH!

If you read the update log for steam, it says
"Suspended preloading of Condition Zero unless user has already purchased the game"

So I'm guessing it was a bug that recently got fixed so if you were connected to steam before the fix came out, your computer downloaded the game, if not you got lucky.

I don't know I could never get the image blocking to work right in mozilla suite mail, it there was no way to tell it to not block images from certain senders or image servers, even though there is UI to unblock images for the browser the same doesn't apply for mail for some reason. Does this work in thunderbird, I havn't looked at it myself?

Its GTA4 because it will be the 4th GTA engine. Vice City was the exact same game engine (with some updates I assume, though I've never played it) but with simply a new map. While GTA4 should be a completly new or majorly overhauled engine producing a very new experience compared to the previous. Just hope they don't pull what they did in GTA2 where 2 had prettier graphics but because of its complexity just simply wasn't as much fun as the original.

Yea, but they'd only ever consider that if your time was clocked and you were constantly entering bug and status reports, which is honestly unreasonable to expect from the testers or the company to handle that many reports. And there just is simply no easy way to make sure every tester is pulling their weight otherwise. So in short, it ain't gonna happen bucko. Oh yea, and forgot to mention why pay when there are thousands willing to do it for free.

Ok downloaded and tried the demo. Graphics sucked, while its kinda neat to set up your nation, and assign them all sorts of stats. When it comes to actual play, you have little control and it really doesn't make much sense.

So "First time ever" isn't exactly an acurate discription then?

Anyone else wonder if the source code has a trojan in it now. The guy did have remote access to change the code, its definatly a possibility that they are going to have to search through the entire source to find out if there are any such trojans.

p2p just means that there isn't a dedicated server, who knows exactly the networking works. My hopes are that all machines connect and negotiate a dynamic network. If one machine is fastest and has a good connection to the other machines then it becomes a server, if two of the machines are on the same LAN than one of those machines proxies for the other to the dynamically assigned server. Of course this is all assumtions, but p2p just means that all machines talk to eachother, it doesn't mean that they all send all data to eachother, who knows.

You've obviously never eaten chex mix with and without Worcestershire it really is required (btw Worcestershire is mainly just viniger and molases, though some brands use soy sauce, but I digress)

Isn't uncrackable an impossibility? So basically this contest in not winnable. But as it reads any patch produced will be tested by their internal team, then released to the public as beta for testing. Assuming it stands up for X amount of time you win?

The black key opens the black castle, the yellow key opens the yellow castle!
Find a sword use it to kill the "dragons"
The horseshoe thing is a magnet, no real purpose that I can find. Anyways the game it pretty easy to beat. But I was under the impression that there is a lot more to the game, but I can't seem to find it (to win take the flashing cup thingy inside the yellow castle)
