You have still been waiting for a good PS2 exclusive?

I think you need to take your fanboy glasses off....

If you cannot find a good game that is exclusive to PS2 then you should quit gaming.

I wish they would just face reality and say that this game will never come out just like Team Fortress 2.

Hell if it does come out, the game will be striped of every single thing they promised us a year or two ago....

Pffft please. That game was pretty well put together for an advertising game (at the end it tells us to shop pixeltees.com) I bet you couldn't do 1/10th as good.

First off, anybody that has played Halo for "30 minutes" should NOT judge the overall game. Get to the snow level and then you will see how great this games story is (the first 2 or 3 lvls are kind of bland and used as story fillers). As for the compitition between console players and PC players, there would be no contest if they played as on the Xbox version of Halo the game auto-aims for you (I do not think you can turn it off) just a little bit even if you are in multiplayer. Kind of like what people are finding out with Unreal Championship (that game is utter garbage compaired to UT2k3) that when using a controller you HAVE to have some kind of auto-aim or you just end up with a game like TimeSplitters 2 where it's damn near impossible to aim right.

I thought it actually looked pretty good. If the story is put together correctly (which I thought they have been floating around this story and idea for a good 6 or 7 years so ample time), and the action scenes are all as elaborate as they were in that trailer (I mean look at all that destruction at most of those parts, that costs money), I think this movie might be one of the better ones of the year.

You can hire lots of programmers, artists, and lead techs for that price. It just does not make sense.

Also about the "developer name" thing, Rare is not really all that well known with anything outside of Nintendo brands. You say that they can take "anything" and make it brilliant. Well I guess it sure helps when you get handed the likes of Donkey Kong and the James Bond licenses doesn't it?

Add to the fact that their last two attempts failed horribly sales wise (Conkers Bad Fur Day and Perfect Dark) their track record is very tarnished for $500 million. Now with all sorts of bad things being said about SFA (coming out this Tuesday by the way) it does not look good for Microsoft....this looks great for Rare though....their founders are getting a fourtune....

Here's the funny thing though, If Microsoft is infact paying somewhere close to $500 Million, what exactly are they getting for it? Normally companies have franchises that they can milk for the name, but from arguments at gaming-age.com,IGN.com fourms and other gaming sites, Rare actually owns very little of the names. Killer Instinct, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Perfect Dark, Banjo, Conker....all are reportadly owned by Nintendo. So what is this $500 mil buying? A host of programmers that have been completely restaffed since Goldeneye and a development studio building in England? This doesnt make business sense for Microsoft....

LOL after installing the demo that you gave the link for I was so taken by the memories that I installed the original that I somehow found in the depthes of my 3.5 archive....

I even have the patch disk that they had to send to fix the episode one secret level (it would crash if you tried to go to it) Don't see that stuff getting sent to people any more

Sigh... the sad thing is I can still get 100% on about every level without even guessing....gee thanks Blue, now I am going to waste all my time playing this just because of your nostalgic findings
