$19.99 for 10 hours? I'd be happy.
$19.99 for 8? Annoyed, but I'd buy it.
$19.99 for "4-6?" Only if the reviews are perfect, and even than I'd be pissed.
</i>

I'd even be happy for "4-6". Seems pretty cheap to me.

Actually, in software terms, alpha means not all features have been implemented. Beta means that all features are implemented, but outstanding / known bugs still exist. After that comes release candidates...then you get your final.

They're not that bad...they just aren't super high tech. And you have to appreciate an 11.2 meg demo.

It was the same way with HL1 too. Hundreds and hundreds of unfinished mods. I worked on Chemical Existence, one of the few total conversions that actually managed to finish. It wasn't a great game, but it was quite an accomplishment.

I actually think this looks pretty sharp. I hope by "tactical", they mean that I can pause the game. I love the feature.

When I was a kid, I'd was furious whenever my parents pulled the plug on me. All my progress was lost, and I was ready to f*ck somebody up.

I never used a knife, but hey, I can see where this kid was coming from. He wasn't going to use it. Just letting his parents know that he was pissed. Kids can feel very helpless, and helplessness leads to pretty extreme anger.

That was hilarious. The end was great with the enthusiastic "I don't care!".

Just to expand on this a bit. Even building a computer to accurately model weather over more than a few weeks is an impossibility. Do some reading on chaos, its interesting. Especially the butterfly effect.

I played Half-Life SP all the way through like 6 or 7 times, and I was actively involved in making and releasing the (only?) non-retail SP Total Conversion, Chemical Existence. I did play the Multiplayer game sometimes, but it was never of great interest to me. I mean, no story?

Single Player games rule.

The game you posted is property of Shockwave.com. It seems some has hotlinked it or straight or stolen the swf and put on their webpage. I suggest you change your link or remove it entirely.

Edit:
Thanks! Thats good too.

Why the hell is that Ellen Feiss girl so attractive. I've been trying to figure it out. And yeah, obviously stoned. I've always liked the stoned girls though. heh

I guess it's weird that so many people are obsessed with her, but there's obviously something behind it.

I've had that same phobia for as long as I can remember. I can't stand the things. I don't wish death on them or anything, but I can't go near them. I get a good verbal assault from my younger brother when I ask him to remove them.

And that sixty foot spider thing? That might as well have been me talking. Seriously. haha, its ridiculously unreasonable, but I can't help it. I'll just blame it on some misfiring neurons.

EDIT: Daddy Long Legs too? They're stupid little things. Spiders look dangerous and scary... reason enough to vacate teh area. Daddy long legs are just begging to die, with their long skinny legs, and tiny pinprick of a body. What the hell are they anyways?

As I see it, we're just meat machines, reacting to stimuli just as a computer does with input. Why couldn't something like that produce immortalilty?

And I think that consciousness would transfer with the brain image. What more is consciousness based upon?

...I'd just like to know why anyone would want it. Think of Q. heh
