Hardwar was one of my fav games about oh 7 maybe 8 years ago (wish I could find it) great open ended game. Nice to see its still got a largeish following

I suppose it all comes down to how much potential money they could make (collecting cash from Ubi's possible success) versus how much they are willing to lose/spend (by blocking things that would be good for Ubi, successful franchises and so on) to bury the competition.

Sounds like a plot for a ch 5 afternoon movie but after all the news about their practises as an employer lately I wouldnt put it past them....

That 20% makes them the single largest stockholder in the company, maybe not a hostile takeover but it must give them quite a lot of sway over Ubi's future direction and titles.

Why does this reviewer believe that Ion Storm ("Ion Storm has vamped up the intelligence of the AI") had anything at all to do with H:C ? Io interactive - Ion Storm even though both studios games are published by Eidos and the first two letters in thier names are the same its strange when a reviewer accredits one company's game to another :/

Although I may be too drunk to have read this properly so appologies where due

I'll just wait and see what edge has to say about it thier not afraid to give devs/publishers a kick in the balls when they deserve it.

Still really looking forward to it though.

Uk version has been out since last friday (at least in scotland) as someone broke the release date and everyone was permited to sell it I got mine from GAME buchannon st, the girl who sold it to me is a brown haired goddess

I'm on the last mission now...... I dont think its as good as the first, but then again I dont have Live! .

Far Cry is the best fps I have played in a long time even if it didn't have the graphics the AI of the mercs (the way they work in teams more than anything else) and the openness of the levels that allow you to go about acheiving your objectives how you like at least outside, inside its more linear make it imo a must buy for fps fans.

In one respect it does if not revolutionise then at least reinvigorate the genre, the size of the outside levels with no invisible walls. I cant think of another game with the scale of far cry that allows you to go anywhere you want besides OP Flashpoint and that is not really a straight fps. I probably sound like a raving fanboy but I'm not really I just think the bar has just been raised for all following fps's this year including HL2 (if it ever arrives).

Yes it is and that means the people that live in this complex world have to accept that complexity and enjoy it they dont have to agree with it, yes people, companies should be more compassionate in thier persuit of profit but denying that you are not ultimately and solely responsible for your own actions because of thier 'greed' is tantamount to having your life lived for you

Chaser is quite good I enjoyed it, although I didn't think the engine was that great and the voice acting is bloody terrible.

Its a level above Chrome gameplay wise but I would buy Halo over it any day....

My comp obviously m8, the upgrade system is great, and the included (free of charge as well) light cycle experience is great although I have to find a huge open space to deploy it and find someone with a base Advent system for compatability.

Now just need somewhere to store it.... if only it existed in potentia...

P.S I'm thinking of buying my first game next week..... maybe a Tomy one...

I'm enjoying it quite a bit, I like the way the software upgrade system works and the light cycle is a good laugh in multiplayer.

Emm I don't think that DX2 is gong to be released this year either, I can't remember what site I read it on (anybody here read it and know what site it was) but the reporter claimed that Eidos had comfirmed to him that DX2 would not ship before the end of the year, and if that is delayed (if its true) what is going to happen to my beloved Thief 3?

No you can't, there are 5 US servers (I think maybe just 4) and just 1 for Europe
