Bungie really should go back to publishing their own work.

Does this mean that WoW subscriptions are starting to decline?

Every installment in the Total War series has been the same, but better... what else were you expecting from a series of sequels?

There are plenty of genres and formats which have grown tired and bland, but Total War is not among them - I have yet to find another game which is in comparable in terms of gameplay or scope.

For those complaining about a lack of content, keep in mind that Funcom have previously announced that there will be new quests as well as improved dungeons for the late 30s and late 50s - hopefully within a month.

I'm really enjoying AoC - I've played dozens of MMOs and none have been quite this much fun.

Mr Thompson,

I think that you spend far too little time playing computer games, and fear that this may be having an adverse affect on your general behaviour. I strongly recommend that you take a break and go play some GTA4.

regards,
Concerned Citizen

Australian players get the full game for free with a 7-day trial, and only regular subscription fees to pay after that. For once, we got the better deal

I'm quite enjoying PotBS so far, and I'm delighted to see in this article that the developers are really on top of things - I agree %100 with their assessment of what works and what doesn't, and their plans for the future are very exciting.

The combat in The Witcher seems to polarise players. Personally, I quite like it. Most RPGs are with button-mashing hack'n'slash systems, or dice-rolling algorithms with all the excitement of watching multi-coloured numbers floating through the air. I think the Witcher found a perfect medium between these two extremes - real-time action with a very strong tactical layer which rewards planning and smart thinking.

It does take a little while to really get moving though - the magic abilities and more advanced moves add a lot to the combat.

I bought the Witcher when the 1.2 patch came out, and was very pleased. No crashes at all, and acceptable load times. My only real complaint was the poor-translated 9and often baffling) dialogue, and I'm delighted to see that CD Projekt is doing what the vast majority of developers never do: Admit their mistakes, and put a lot of time and effort into fixing them.

Nope, just read the article for your answer. The game's doing well and subscriptions are on the increase, they just decided that higher population densities will improve overall gameplay. It's something that the players wanted.

I'm really enjoying this game (purchased via Steam) - makesfor a really nice change of pace when I'm not in the mood for CoD4.

I prefer CoD4 to BF2 - it's a much smoother, sleeker package (lightning fast load-times do actually make a difference), consistently fun (unlike BF2 which is fun every 1 game out of 3) and just.... *feels* right. I'm not sure how they did it, but Infinity Ward managed to make the combat perfect. Vehicles would ruin it.

Cutter, of course it's neither new nor unique - but that doesn't mean that we should just accept it. It's tantamount to corruption, and should be resisted.

We don't need yet another MMO, and there's a terrible thirst for good Co-op games right now. I wish developers would stop trying to breed their own cash cow and get back to making good games.
