Now now, children, let's not tar all Christian's with the same brush.

He's right, we need to use several brushes, the work will go quicker. And feathers, can't forget the feathers.

I was on the fence about this one so maybe it'll sway me, but it's going to need to do a lot to fall into my current roster of Call of Duty, AA 2.0, Commandos 3, and SSX3.

I personally enjoy 3rd person games more on consoles though. I don't know why, but playing games like Splinter Cell or even Max Payne on PC feels weird to me.

I agree with this as well. The only game I've felt somewhat comfortable on PC was the Freedom Fighters demo, because you got that nifty over-the-shoulder aim view. I played the whole game on console though, and while it took getting used to the loss of precision control, I eventually felt comfortable with it and enjoyed the hell out of it.

EDIT: I completely forgot the Hitman series, being one of my favorite series of all time. There is no way I would have played that on a console.

Unfortunately, all the local video rental stores around here are “the suck” and rarely keep up with new games

One word....Gamefly

http://www.gamefly.com/

Solves all my woes in that area, no 5-day deadline to beat a game, and saves me some cash to boot. Link to it thru penny-arcade.com and earn those guys some referral cash if you do choose to sign up for it.

Um, not really. I guess your counterstrike self may have played thru splinter cell guns blazing, but I stealthed it, and this is definitely not a stealth game. The usage of cover is very well done from what I've seen of the preview videos, and the ability to use suppressing fire and blind firing from behind cover to freak out your enemies is a welcome addition to the fearless enemies seen in virtually every game sans Call of Duty. That said, it may turn out to just be a gimmicky trait as I haven't played the game yet, but I have high hopes for it.

Aye, this game is definitely one of the most overlooked and underhyped gems of the modern tactical shooter community. I too quit playing it due to the massive cheating, and vowed I wouldn't be back until there was some substantial new content. This looks to be it, and I'll be happy to give it another shot tomorrow.

As for JA3, I believe the game had been announced/talked about by the development team.

Yes we know this, but that was several months ago and I want to know what the hell is going on! Then again, seeing an impromptu "gold" announcement similar to Max Payne 2 would be great too

Aye, wtf happened to JA3? But more JA2 is ALWAYS good news, happy to hear this, as this old stogy classic still gets me more satisfying gameplay than most games released this year combined

Do you think they'll be suspicious when they recieve 68 billion votes for Counterstrike, even though there are only 7 billion people in the world?

Noones arguing that. We're not saying good graphics = good game, we're just debating whether that statement in the gold announcement is accurate. Sorry voodoo, try again

And playing it *again* doesn't count.

In that case I've probably only gotten about 2 hours out of BF1942. Yeah, I sure got shafted on this game...

The graphics technology of Secret Service Security Breach are superior to any game shipping this year.

This statement is contingent on every game this year being delayed until next. This includes games that have already been released.

Give me a break...

EDIT: On a further note, anyone else find it conspicuous that screenshots are nowhere to be found?
