Wow...

Thank god Hitman Contracts got out the door before this happened.

...Homeworld 2 sold poorly because it was a poor follow up to one of the most innovative strategy games in recent years.

Wow, the rare valid point. Take a picture fellas, you may never see it on these boards again.

lifestyle publications such as FHM, Blender, Penthouse and Stuff magazines.

Seriously, I don't understand how marketers can live with themselves. At least people who work at Microsoft feel guilty about it and work as hard as they can to put out really good products.

I though Freedom Fighters was an EA game....

It was published by EA, IO Interactive (Hitman Series) actually developed it. Now that Eidos owns IO, they can do a freedom fighters sequel no problem.

EDIT: Although I'd rather they do Hitman 4 before they do Freedom Fighters

So if the game centers around Fox company, is it going to be called "Band of Sisters"? They sure high-tailed it out of carentan :).

It seems for some reason the game will not recognize my mouse wheel and half the keys on my keyboard.

Yeah, that seems to happen in all games when you spill too much coffee on your input devices :).

I still think it should have been called Ground Control II: The Revenge of Major Tom.

Maybe GC2K4-MajorTom?

Hey, by the way, is there a movie called Club Dread coming out soon? I keep trying to find info about it but this site doesn't offer any ads or anything to point me in the right direction. Any help you can give me would be great, thanks!

-DSR <--all kidding aside, I just thought it was funny that its the same ad in all 4 ad places, this is not a rant about advertising on websites, which I'm happy to click-thru to support Blue.

It's funny this comes up, as I am about 80 hours into the Urban Chaos Total Conversion for Jagged Alliance 2 that was released about a month ago. It is an INCREDIBLE TC that has me all into JA2 like I was back when I first played it. It's just too bad these guys didn't have access to the source code while they were developing it, because what they did just by hand-editing config files and replacing objects is amazing. The closest comparison I can make is what Desert Combat did for BF1942, created a whole new spark of gameplay without any engine access.

Thanks for posting DCX news Blue, but I also think it's important to point out that DCX doesn't just add single player play to DC. Rather, it adds TONS of modifications to vehicles and even a few new ones. These changes add about a 5x fun factor
