They need a starcraft mod... Maybe for Savage?
It does look nice and fun. I wonder how easy it will be to update desert combat to this new game?

Ok He was selling porn and I'm sorry for saying otherwise. I was trying to make a point that even if he wasn't using it too sell porn then they still would've punished him. If he wrote a program, made a song, wrote a story/article and then tried to sell it, would he receive the same punishment? These dorm rooms and computers are being used for personal reasons and should be considered personal possessions until the cadet leaves. They are being used after classes and training right?
I'm glad you agree that 14 years is too much. He should be kicked out, that's it. If he was sent to jail for 2 years would that be ok with you? How about they just have a computer room. The computers wouldn't be used by one person or be allowed to have any permanent personal material on them.

"it's their computer not his" Well then maybe they should put a password on it and keep it in a "restricted" area. Sorry, but giving a government-owned computer to a cadet to USE doesn't mean you have the right to spy on what that computer is doing/storing. Giving a student a room does not give you the right to spy on them while they are taking a shit or to look thru the pictures their girlfriend sent. Or are you going to claim that these computers are being used for Learning and Training purposes only? I would bet 100% of the cadets are using them for personal things. Like visiting bluesnews*wink*?
"commercial gain, and wrongfully viewing, displaying and storing obscene material. " They didn't actually say he was making any sort of profit or setting up a business OR that he was stealing bandwidth. It clearly says they can punish you for viewing, storing, displaying(on a wall?) porn. The Great Leaders are screwing over cadet's. Throwing cadet's in jail for 14 years, Ignoring and Punishing rape victims.

This is how we reward soldiers for defending our nation and freedom. By invading their privacy during training? Telling them they can't look at naughty pictures for 4 years? I understand that they signed up for it and agreed with the rules. But SOME of the rules are wrong and should be changed. The people in charge should be fired and maybe be thrown in jail. "142 assault cases reported at the school since 1993 say they were punished for rules violations" THIS IS WRONG!!!! They are abusing their power. THEY SHOULD BE HANGED!!! Honest Americans who want to serve are having their rights taken away. This is not how a nation who preaches freedom should run its army. Want to defend your nation? Fine. Get ready to be kicked in the balls.

Ok sorry.. but
"The academy bars cadets from visiting pornographic Web sites. If convicted, Barnes could receive 14 years confinement. "
14 years?! For running/visiting a porn site? DID it have child porn?
And he lives in a dorm there? WHY the hell should they have ANY right to look at what websites he is running/visiting?
What a bunch of Hypocrites. Going to war and KILLING people is ok. Don't look at porn tho. You might make Jesus cry. !!!142 assault cases reported!!! I'm glad they are doing something about the EVIL porn and invading the privacy of their students.

Well I think it has alot to do with the dog. Some dogs just like to bark. Even a well trained dog might bark and upset neighbors 3 times during its life. The punishment and requirments for that punishment is what I'm saying is absurd.

I'm sorry Drekhead, but dogs bark. Dogs are going to bark in middle of the night, and during the day. If you don't want to hear dogs barking then you should get better insulation/move/ or pass a law to make dogs illegal. When my friend was 5, a neighbor fired a gun at his dog for barking during the day(this guy worked at night). I'll agree that maybe there should be a SMALL punishment for the dog constantly barking. Maybe force the family to take a class on how to make your pet shut up

"if a barking dog is complained about 3 times, the owner loses his dog forever"
Whoever made that law deserves to be kicked in the balls repeatedly.

I actually liked building a city on C&C Generals map editor more. You could place Everything exactly where you wanted and you could even build a few working trains. And then best of all.. INVADE IT!. One day I hope we will have a mix of Grand Theft Auto, Sim City, Sims, And Muppets...

I'd try to take a keep all by myself or go on a dragon raid..Aren't they adding rvr/pvp areas with different rules? I didn't really like joining zergs. So I usually ended up running around in the frontier all by myself. And that's a quick death for a mage The battlegrounds were fun(waiting 5 hours to get teleported was boring tho).

I'm really happy they are making this game. Warlords is a nice RTS because it's so fast paced. You don't spend 30 minutes making a big city with towers that can take down an entire army. I really like the Hero levels and the campaign. Makes SinglePlayer really fun. I Hope they change this in WBC 3; More differences between races, let players put up the unit limit, and resource trading made easier for allies.

You're right. I misread a website I'm glad. Characters starting out with 100 million gold would be a little depressing I hope this game doesn't have buffbots

sequel to Ultima 9? That game sucked. I liked it.. But it did suck.. And they claim it's not connected to UO at all, but you'll be able to transfer your characters from UO.. Diablo wasn't all about the combat skills. Getting powerful items and fighting alot of monsters is part of what made it fun. WoW is going to have horses..
Anyways. I hate how the ONLY thing to do in mmorpg's is to fight players/monsters. Quests are great, but they get boring when your riding on a horse for 4 hours.
UO Is nice because you can actually do a bunch of stuff. Non-combat skills seem to be ignored most of the time however.

Well this looks like every mmorpg out there. A chat box, 3d view, Combat moves F1-F8, a "bag" that looks more like marble with a grid, fog 10 feet away, private areas.
I really don't think I will like these Private dungeons. They seem to destroy the entire purpose of mmorpgs's.. You know.. Playing with other people. If I wanted to play with 8 other people, I would install diablo2,nwn, dungeon siege, etc. And best of all.. It would be free.
I hope they will actually try to balance this game. Peacemaking is almost required in UO if you want to fight the harder monsters. The screenshots do look nice,,, except for the view distance..

I like what Razor6 said. Fog distance is increased, but the draw distance for players/vehicles isn't.
The only other way it could be fair is to have fog distance controlled by the server. But then people with crappy computers wouldn't be able to play on the good servers.

You use to be able to change the view distance, but they got rid of that in patches. I've never been able to get the Fog/cheat to work. Some maps(Hoth)/mods out there seem to have a longer view distance. I mostly play against bots, and piloting an airplane is not very fun when you can't even see where you're going
