as far as I know the Sims connection just gives you an insight into life in your city. I wopn't be using that anyway. This is going to be a wonderful game. I can't wait!

I almost forgot why I don't visit these "boards" any more.

Blue should just remove the comment functions.

they must have hired high school kids from the intro programming classes to write DNF, with it taking this long. I believe they called it Duke Nukem Forever, or DNF, to stand for Did Not Finish.

If it *does* ship, I don't expect much...

I totally respect Blue for doing what he did, but you had to be almost blind not to know about the leak. In my opinion, those that would download knew the day it was spreading (Thursday), and those who wouldn't d/l didn't know until recently. Therefore reporting on it earlier wouldn't seem to increase downloads of the software.

Did that make sense?

To qoute Micheal Moore in a recent newsletter:

"Yesterday, Larry Bennett, a 16-year old, was shot in the head after he was involved in a minor traffic accident. You probably didn't hear about it because, well, how could he be dead if he wasn't shot by The Sniper?

Yesterday, an unidentified woman was shot to death in her car in Fenton, MI. You probably didn't hear about it because she had the misfortune of not being shot by The Sniper."
"Yes, The Sniper has apparently been caught, so we can go back now to NOT reporting the DOZENS of gun deaths that occur every day, the ones that just aren't newsworthy because they happen in all those old boring ways -- unlike the ways of The Sniper, who was interesting and creative and exciting and scary! He played so much better on the news. "

think about it. Screw the mainstream media.

Absolutely incredible.

The guy modeled everything about that car...and it seems that it is accurate down to every detail...amazing.

To think that the engine works...like the real thing...the spedometer and odometer are the same...everything responds the same as the real world...just amazing.

I'm very impressed.

Of course, how he hopes to earn a living, I'm not sure, but there is *much* more value to this pursuit of creating something than the "15 year old mmorpg nerd". Much more respect.

Very cool link.

Blue, Thank *you*! You've been my homepage in everything from a 486 dx2/66, a University Sun Solaris Workstation, my roommates p133, a P166, and now my 1900xp+.

The more my hardware changes, my homepage has always stayed the same.

I plan on keeping it that way.

Yeah, the engine looks like shit.

Some nice lighting effects breaking through the jungle in one scene, but overall blocky and washed-out.

I must agree that science has to be "extracted" from these subjects in order to make a value-based conclusion...but universities and other institutions each have their own bias. *Always* be weary of what interests any author may have.
