Bruckheimer = big explosions, helluva lot of excellent stunt work, wobbly body parts. It'll be good.

Even though I still think F.E.A.R. should win overall.

Nah. Good game, but Monolith did better with Condemned.

This, class, is what we call "missing the point."

Uh huh. You had to type out a short message, then edit it? This site isn't Wikipedia, dork. No one's going to castrate you for missing the occasional comma.

Quit being anal retentive.

Man...that must have been one hell of a girl. 2 million is some pretty cool cash though...

Tim Hortons. Everyday. Not necessarily because the coffee is good, but because the coffee is consistent.

Heard of, but never been there before. Yeah...the Starbucks I mentioned had a problem with consistency. They hired mostly college kids and most of them were to timid in preparing lattes and machiatos. Don't worry little girl, that Latte is indeed suppose to have some strength behind it.

Nevermind; people apparently go to Starbucks because the cofee there has 50% more caffeine...

I guess. I hit the Starbucks that's a click away from my campus because the coffee is just damn good there. Then again, the increased caffeine compared to the other coffee houses around here is higher.

This would be pretty cool. The only Live game I play is Geometry Wars (and you can only take so much of that...) and DoA4 (...and which you can't get enough of).

Sentinel Worlds
StarFlight
Wasteland
M.U.L.E.
Archon
Bards Tale (the recent one that came out was NOT the same)
Moebius-Windwalker
2048 A.D.
AutoDuel

Well, a lot these titles are ones that very few remember. You come up with StarFlight 2, people will wonder what the first was. Just creating a sequel or expanding on previous editions just isn't that simple, especially from a marketing and design point of view.

dunno if i would consider this series RPG... more adventure IMO

SS2 had a more advanced game play and stats building system than Deus Ex, and that is considered an RPG. I think the term applies to the SS series as well.

I've had enough of that particular brand of old skool entertainment.

Yeah...I know what you mean. The games were great for their time, and people's memories will reflect unusually fondly upon them. Now? They're really not all that great of games.

But then think of all the things that you've bought over the years that could also classify as a total waste of money, so why not one more thing eh?

LOL!!!

Yeah, I honestly have a lot of room to speak there.

I didn't say it was a mod...

Well, yes you were, actually. Since you didn't actually indicate originally you were referring to it as an actual game.

and this game isn't half bad. It's got a steep learning curve. But for all the whiners whining for more originality in their games and bitch about this, well..hypocrisy has its place here too.

True, but they could at least stop telling us absolutely everything and let us find out for ourselves once the game is released!

Yeah...I've been of this belief for awhile now. I rather like plot twists and the simple fact is I play games for the single player experience. It's almost like having certain points of a book pretold.

or how about a game where I play as a conservative texas oil man who through migrant slave labour build an empire that is too small to be contained on just one continent. After seeking office by aligning myself with likeminded corrupt oil men I precede to set the world afire through the use of militarism supported by my fanatical populace who lap up my every word as if it were gospel

I don't think Super Power 2 did all that well.

When did liberalism and socialism become derogatory terms? Also, why do you have to live in the EU to criticise the US? Oh, sorry, because if you live in the US you can't criticise the government because it is unpatriotic.

lol. Liberals leads to the degredation of American morality,
Republicans lead our country into useless wars that no one understands the reasoning behind. That's Americanism!

Tbh, I think they're giving away a little too much info, and i'm not liking the immense change of direction into what seems to be pure 24 territory!

Really though, where else can they really go with the series? They can do about three games that are all in the same vein before it becomes rediculous to play the same story over and over again.

And sure a good game PC may be more expensive, but its upgradeable to suit the changing techologies, the games can be modded, the online environment is not controlled by MS online, or Sony online etc. Plus factor in the cost of a high def TV, extra controllers etc and the cost are about the same.

Yes, but you're in denial about one little fact there. A PC is an ever changing platform that requires more money to thrown at it to keep up to date and playing the latest games exceptionally. An HDTV and console are one time purchases. You commit once, you're done. As for the online environments being freer on the PC...well, there are advantages and disadvantages to that.

I'm not saying PC gaming is dead, but it's definitely gotten to haughty for it's own purposes.

Im sure 3drealms are still co-developing to "some" extent.

They probably have about as much to do with Prey as they did Max Payne.

Lol...this almost ranks up there with the RIAA suing deceased individuals. Except this is screwing over a lot of people, especially when the names usually pretty common sounding. It wouldn't surprise me if they put John Smith on the no-fly list.

Mabey they should incorporate finishing Duke Nukem first...

3d Realms isn't developing it. They farmed it out to another studio so it would be made. Whenever George Broussard releases any news about DNF his attitude isn't too enthusiastic.
