It's not like you ever bring the pet out more than once. But I understand how some might feel -- like they're missing out on something. To go through the hassle of breaking the box, etc. well that is just rediculous.

Actually, you can send virtual stimuli to the brain indirectly. Think of each finger on your hand as a pin on a microprocessor. Send a steady stream of stimuli to your finger tips and let your brain figure out how to map the data. A virtual experience can be had at a fairly decent resolution by doing this.

The biggest problem is figuring out how to ease your mind into this new virtual world experience without sending it into shock. This is what can happen once your brain starts understanding the data and begins working with it.

Or something...

Do Next-Gen Games have to have graphics and sound at all? Someone needs to make a game that even Hellen Keller could play. Level the playing field for the blind, the deaf, and people with all five senses.

The issue with the cable companies not prividing or not knowing how to provide cable cards to Tivo users is a big legal deal. It apparently is the cable companies fault. I would have thought that Tivo would have given the cable companies a heads up, but apparently they were depending on the end users to do that for them. More fun that way I guess. Surprise cable companies!

Surprise Tivo lots of unhappy customers!

Plus the Tivo Series 3 is missing important features like TivoToGo and multiroom viewing!

Surprise Tivo lots of unhappy customers!

The bugs that ship with the Series 3 are an unwelcome surprise too.

Surprise Tivo lots of unhappy customers!

How much does this headache cost? $800.00. Considering how high the price is, Tivo probably doesn't have that many unhappy customers.

Whatever! You guys are kidding right? It's easily the best game out there for true team oriented combat. Yes it is very frustrating that the red-friendly bug still isn't fixed, but come on. Why hasn't that been fixed yet anyway? Must be a really elusive bug. Something deep within the engine. Must be really hard to recreate the bug.

The idea that Mech vehicles would somehow be cheaper and more effective than say, a fast moving vehicle with wheels, is absurd! Why would any military ever want to create something that walks, but when it falls it's screwed?

You know what I hate? Those cartoons where people climb into Mech vehicles that are actually armed with handguns and rifles! Like that's practical!

Speaking of vehicles, what's with this new fad where we as consumers are expected to accept a "grocery getter" station wagon as an SUV? We should all feel insulted that the car companies put out this crap and tell us that it's the new cool style!

Oh man! Now I'm all worked up! I'm going to go outside and start throwing stuff!

Nintendo Revolution Dec 27, 2005, 17:09

Nintendo will probably sell more 'Revolution' consoles next year than the other two console makers combined.

For one thing, the cost of the system is going to be very cheap. Less than $200. Possibly much less.

Then consider the fact that the quality of the games released for the system will be based on game play; not graphics! I'll take gameplay over graphics any day. That's not to say that the graphics won't be really good on the Revolution. It will have over twice the horse power as the Game Cube!

The Revolution controller will finally be able to give us FPS players the fine-grain control that we've been enjoying with computers for years! Maybe we'll even be able to play RTS games on a console now too!

Oh yeah! Let's not forget that Nintendo will make it possible to play the entire back-catalog of their games on the Revolution as well!

Considering the less than stellar experience that we now get from an XBox 360, I don't think the XBox 360 is going to sell to well in 2006. We're going to need to see a number of games that actually look and play 'Next Gen' before they start selling like the proverbial hotcake.

The PS3 will be pricy, but if they can pack enough extra functionality into it Sony will probably sell more of these than Microsoft sells XBoxes. The graphics on the games better look 'Next Gen' right out of the gate!

Nintendo will be marketing their system to everyone, including people who own at least one of the other two Next Gen consoles. It will be cheaper, but best of all, the games will offer better gameplay and replay value than any of the games that will be offered on the other consoles.

Who's with me?!

I'd like it if more kinds of cheese were added to the game. Sure the swiss cheese is cool, but the blue cheese is way too powerful. Since those are the only cheeses to choose from guess what everybody picks?

BRING IT!

Yes there are bugs still in the game, but I have to say that this is the best tactical shooter out there. No other game can compete with the communication system that is in place in this game. They really do make it easy to play as a team! No other game can even come close.

The biggest issue that I have with the game is that it is still really hard to figure out if someone is on your team or not. It's like you have to wait until they are within a certain distance before you can determine if they are friend or foe. Or perhaps the problem is that you have to center your cross-hairs over a unit for a certain amount of time before their allegiance can be discovered. Either way, this sucks.

Or is it just me that is experiencing this issue?

I don't see anything on the page that says that it is available via auto-update. Perhaps the page used to say something like that, but currently it doesn't. So I guess we still have to wait.

The Nintendo controller is the only console controller on the market that might actually be able to make FPS and RTS games playable for people who enjoy playing these types of games on the pc! (Unless you count the keyboard and mouse controllers that were made available for consoles this past year.)

People! So what if the thing looks like a remote! You can angle the thing to look (aim) up, down, left, and right in a more natural way than even a mouse can do! An the other piece of the component will allow you to move forward, backward, and strafe left and right!

What part of this controller makes you think that it would suck?! Have you tried it yet?

The only way to play an FPS game is to play with a keyboard and a mouse, or this new Nintendo controller! Anyone who sees differently is either naive.

What?! Dude! Mark Rein never passed judgement on the controller?

This is what happened. Microsoft handed Mark a purple helmet and started massaging him up and down with money. Then he went on stage and yacked all over the crowd a bunch of negative crap about the Nintendo controller like a giant @ick!

I have no respect for Mark Rein. I hope he likes his PURPLE HELMET!!!!

Now poor Cliffy B. has to go clean up this mess. Poor guy.
