If this is like any of Pandemics other PC releases, this will be completely full of bugs and unsupported after release. Keybindings will be broken, auto-aim will interfere with mouse aiming and cant be turned off, and the supporting characters will constantly be reminding you of the same thing repeatedly via radio.

Steam should refuse to sell any game that uses the utter POS that is GameSpy.

IW only care about those people who barely play and are willing to pay $10 for a map. Everyone else is a drain on them.

Wont be getting my money.

I wonder if this is just an excuse.

When IW announce the game is being delayed for the PC to add better MP support, it will save face despite there already being a high likelihood of the game being delayed.

Using fileplanet will just get you a stream of feckless idiots who cant figure out where to look for files that dont have month long queues and are too lazy to do anything than just pay up.

Good luck having a productive beta with that crowd.

I think it is most definitely down to them wanting to ship the booster pack stuff for free with the patch. Which is a nice move

Nah, non-bootable discs dont hang systems, the BIOS just skips the bood from CD/DVD? prompt and goes straight onto the next bootable device.

You might want to read the smallprint on the box, too, before claiming the game has no drm. "This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some DVD-RW and virtual drives"

Just a FYI, but the DRM on this is so fucking annoying. PC wont boot up if the disc is in the drive (hangs both at the dvd drive spinning up searching for a bootable disc and vista freezes when loading)

Also wont even show up when you finally do get into windows. It showed up once and I installed it, but its never happened since. Luckily there is no disc check, which is frankly weird considering the lengths ubisoft seem to go to stop me playing the damn game.

The game is quite good though. Its CoD as a western.

Robin Walker is the game industry's George Lucas.

He had an eye patch in TFC, and then had a visor in TFC's 1.5 update.

matchmaking? Oh joy, we all know how well pc fps matchmaking works :/

Yeah, they should add some auto-aim, and slow everything down, and maybe add in some huge splash-dmg weapons. Yeah.. that sounds awesome...

yeah, TF2 it!

To me, their response sounds like they just couldnt be bothered spending time to balance to game so that it still played well with a mouse (Epic did it with gears for the PC, they made the weapons less accurate and have more kick so that mouse users couldnt just waltz through the game)

Mercs 2 had the same issues. Auto aim would constantly wrestle control away from you and aiming just felt far too loose.

And as someone else said, PC Zones review shat all over the mouse controls and pretty much said you needed to use a 360 pad if you wanted to actually hit anything.

Gamespy/IGN have always been pretty dodgy really. Any site that will whore out their entire design to the highest bidder and use 'exclusive' demos/betas to gain subscribers has to be a bit dodgy when it comes to impartial coverage of whatever they are pimping.

Its only Xbox live that dosent have dedicated servers. GFW live has hostable dedicated servers for the FPS titles (or games that need them).

Its basically now become a competitor to Gamespys throne. And about time too, since gamespy have seemingly become a monopoly and just produce utterly terrible server browsers and matchmaking tools that have driven PC multiplayer backwards over the last 5+ years.

TF2 was TFc, stripped of a lot of the depth (bitch about grenade spam all you want, but grenades were a massive part of how attack versus defence was balanced to reduce stalemates. Static defence is eaten up by them.) and has really dropped massively in player figures.

http://www.onlinegamingzeitgeist.com/games/ Shows how the game has gone from a nice peak before christmas to a huge decline.

FF is a whole load more fun than TF2, shame they were released at the same time and TF2 captured the spotlight for looking so good.

TF2 is a pale shadow of previous Fortress games, and it actively punishes the player. FF is just fun, and can be played seriously if you want to.

And it dosent have fucking critical hits.
