Red Dead Redemption 2 online multiplayer to be major focus. Not surprised (hell, expecting it), I just hope it doesn't compromise the story/SP.
This does not bode well for the prospect of single player DLC, as was the case with GTA:V, it's probably going to be all online updates after the release. Prove me wrong, Rockstar. I dare ya. =P But at least it does bode well for a PC port. |

Two playthroughs going at once...low chaos Corvo and high chaos, kill-everything-in-sight Emily. And the graphics are just incredible...the lighting and texture work are super A+ top-notch amazing. |

Just upgraded from 100Mb service to 200 for another $5/month. Could have gotten 300 for another $35 on top of that, but figured I'll try to be happy with 200.
Bottom line, Cablevision/Optimum, now Altice, has always had great internet service (I've been with them since the late 90's), and they don't throttle/cap. In fact, right now I always get 220Mb as a little bonus. I have faith this long-standing trend of rock-solid service will continue and only get much better. |

Also, I think whatever implementation of TXAA they have is really awful compared to games like Dishonored 2, Fallout 4 and GTA V. On a GTX 1080, 2X TXAA should not yield such a disastrous performance hit. Do you really need AA in 1440p? Absolutely! Everything is just a shimmering mess without it. The visual difference even between 2X TXAA and the default SMAA w/ temporal filtering is very significant. Anything in the distance that has lots of thin lines, e.g. the Golden Gate Bridge, will be visually "crawling" as you move toward it, but TXAA makes everything perfect. And while I see a lot of people saying TXAA makes things blurry, I disagree. I think it looks amazing. |

I'm curious, what didn't you like about it? Well to start with the controls are horrid and it looks like something a bunch of high school kids made. Even the kids did not like it, they played it for 3 days and shelved it. I can't help people have such poor standards. Those are some pretty talented high school kids. Yeah, probably members of the coding club and maybe even won a few science fairs. |

I'm ashamed to admit it but I played the entire game (and the amazing undead nightmare addon) with the autoaim at its highest setting.
Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't R* claimed that the code for RDR was a horrid mess and that it would literally take years to fix it up enough just to port it to PC? Personally, I would trust rockstar at all. I'm guessing that quote came before they got bought out? Hell, I bet PC GTA5 had a much different design document, before 2K bought them. rockstar has been nothing but a bunch of dicks to PC gamers over the years, but 2K is in charge now and they don't play that shit. Of course, they also had the ulterior motive of keeping people hooked (and paying) in GTA Online. The only way to do that was to make sure it performed great on PC. |

Reminds me of the time someone gave some game a thumbs down on Steam after spending 500 hours in game. I'm guessing anyone with that many hours is heavily into modding. At least that's the case for me. Testing and marveling at mods probably consumes most of that "in-game" time. |

Lol...building a PC is not arduous. I for one thoroughly enjoy the process of speccing everything out and understanding the ramifications of my selections, and I take my sweet time making sure everything is put together perfectly, cables run nicely, etc. It's a lot of fun. There are certainly no shortage of companies willing to sell someone a top-flight rig if they find the prospect of putting one together too arduous, but then they'll likely be spending a lot more $$$ than is necessary. |

Just about finished with SP campaign in Doom. What an amazing job they did, not only in bringing back the spirit of the original game, but in the brilliance of the engine. |

I think most people who are really into Fallout made sure they got the Season Pass when it was only $30, and I also think in hindsight it will look like a major bargain.
Considering the amount of time most people put into this game, the $$$/hour entertainment ratio is just ludicrously small, even if you paid full price. |

If my (2) GTX 970's each had 6GB or more of VRAM, I wouldn't be tempted to upgrade. But of course this is precisely why my 970's each have 4GB...er, I mean 3.5GB *cough* of VRAM...because nVidia knows exactly how to maintain a captive audience. |
