When I buy Unreal 2, I'm going to have my friend put in on the net with a nasty virus. For real, and I hope all you cheap ass thieving loosers get it! And good riddence if you do! I saw the trailer and this game looks awesome. The folks who work thier asses off to bring us this kind of entertainment deserve the pay they get. You loosers! Just wait!

-Tony!!!

And if the spelling doesn't convince you he's serious, surely the triple exclamation points will.

I suppose since they opted to not include MP they felt giving a demo would be giving 25% of the game.

And we all know giving away 25% (first episode of Doom, Wolfenstein?) never drives sales.

Yep, these links don't work in Phoenix either (a mozilla derivative.) Whitelisting www.amplifytheweb.com for popups doesn't help either.

Guess I can't do simple math. What's your thinking?

Obviously it's a matter of opinion, but I think America's Army runs fine on my P3-700 GeForce 2, however I also have 512MB of RAM, which might help, but I doubt it. I suspect anything over 128 would be sufficient.

go watch the E3 2001 movie then tell me its the next Daikatana

Unfortunately, I have seen this movie and it looked great in 2001. Now it looks like an "also ran". It lacks the "wow" factor people will demand when DNF comes out due to the time invested in creating it.

P.S. Thanks for logging in George. I'd say it gave the thread more credibility, although unfortunately it's devolved into a flame war

I recall the exact same thing. Glad they came to their senses.

Quite a fun game. It gets more interesting (more depth, better secrets) after the levels in the demo, so don't worry about that being "all there is".

Oh and George, login for goodness sake if it really is you.

Yep, boring as dry toast. And it looks like they edited the footage they had. Not worth the d/l on a slow link.

Still, could be interesting. XCom was great, hopefully they can update it while still retaining the same addictive gameplay.

This level is fairly short, so don't get your hopes up. I personally think they could have included more, but it does manage to work in a few force powers and some dueling.

Oh, and I didn't "warez" this game. I bought it. Ask yourself: If something is worth your time to play, isn't it also worth your money?

You're exactly right. I'm sick of people bitching about FilePlanet. Yes, registration is annoying. But FP is comprehensive, and generally reliable. And they are at least trying to make a business model out of serving Terabytes of data a day to 12 year olds. You'll miss them when they're gone.

Actually, by then hopefully someone will have set up a legal P2P network for distributing legitimate downloads.

Q: What moment in gaming was Gearbox’s lowest?

A: Gearbox’s lowest moment is every moment prior to whatever the current moment is. [...] It feels as if things are just getting better and better, that we’re growing stronger and smarter.

Doesn't that imply a downward trend? Wouldn't their lowest moment be the first moment if they're constantly moving upwards?
