Anyone else picturing a pair of young horses, leaning against a wooden fence, smoking?

For some reason, I thought the second link was going to be related to the two factions in Total Annihilation, the Arm and the Core....

The official word is it won't be "subscriber-only". Does that mean it won't be _paid_subscriber_ only? FP has released plenty of exclusives for registered (not necessarily paying) members. And the Eidos thread said the sources would be FP and Eidos if I remember correctly.

...Must...resist...urge...to...subscribe...
(While I don't care for exclusives, I don't think they're evil; just bad business to alienate potential customers).

Seriously, if the demo is coming out tomorrow and it's up to the standard of the original Liberty Island demo, I'm going to need to get my affairs in order, say goodbye to the kids, and pay my bills for the next month...

The Crystal Power game crashed my laptop (tried to go to an unsupported resolution. YMMV.

This is a very addictive game. I've been playing for over an hour and I'm not sure you can lose. It just keeps giving you more chances. It's definitely got a "just one more turn" addictiveness

Does anyone else wonder what it would have taken to push them .001 further in development to version 2.0?

Damn yo, that sucks. I be playing mad games at CMU.

Apparently you didn't waste any of that gaming time on Freshman Composition 101.

I just played it succesfully in Quicktime.

Man, I now have a giant jones for Tribes. Forget the ragdoll physics. I forgot how cool skiing is. And nailing someone in midair with a disc.

Amen to that.

Even with save-anywhere, I still would stop playing sometimes because I was afraid to go in the next door.

My understanding is that they'd love to, but the rights to the franchise are not available.

...tears of joy.

Ken Levine, Irrational Games, and Tribes in the same sentence? I'm speechless.

As far as licensing goes, they "licensed" the Thief engine for SysShock 2 and made that game great (Unanimous Game of the Year), despite dated graphics. These are the guys who prove the rule that gameplay trumps graphics. Heck, Tribes had poor graphics unless you had a Voodoo and it was popular for years.

Shazbot!

Did anyone else think this might be related to "24"? I was hoping we'd finally get the chance to put Kim Bauer out of our misery.
