Cases like this prove me right of staying silent on them.
Of course our local cancel culture boys cant.

It was inevitable that the scum from r/The_Donald would eventually float to the surface.

A boycott would have about as much chance at killing Fakebook as would a change.org petition.
Tim Pool reported that it was inactive for 4 months already anyway.
That makes this action pretty much only virtue signalling at best.
I’d read that in the Washington Post, glad to know I get my information from the same newspaper Tim gets his from.

The final blow came after years of cracking down on the losers.
But alas the creepy little roaches have scurried away to darker corners of the internet (gab, parker, thedonald.win) where they will continue doing what they are known for: misogyny, anti-Semitism, hate, glorifying violence, racism, conspiracy theories, incubating Pizzagate and sharing those dank memes that the idiot in chief likes to tweet.
Winners to the core, all of them.

Well, the other side isnt better either with their Russia Russia Russia and whatnot whining.
The only difference is that they have the mainstream on their side, which in turn makes them bolder and shows their fascistic side pretty well (and they dont even care).

That "fire" example is a pretty good one. I wonder if intentionally spreading fake news, or just plain lies if you like, that directly or indirectly leads to human harm can be restricted in that way as well. I think that it probably should be.

Laws regulating speech are way behind the technological curve. Social media especially is damaging our democracy (not to mention our mental health) and is still essentially unregulated at this point. That's how the Russians and others were able to exploit it during the 2016 election. It's how we get anti-vaxxers and flat-earthers: humans are hard wired for tribalism, even if that tribe's beliefs are wrong and unhealthy.
Yeah, Switzerland tried to regulate it with Nazi symbolism. They gave up because it was simply impossible to do in a free society like Switzerland. Not only because for example "88" means Heil Hitler and would be impossible to ban, but also because Nazis (and other fanatics) will simply invent new symbols and use them instead.
Americans should have realized the absurdity of that too by now. Especially after that "OK" sign debacle for example.

As soon as I saw the headline, I knew this was going to push the buttons of the closet and/or out Nazis here.

Funny how Nazis howl if you call them out or prevent them from spreading their filth, but they were so OK with censorship and propaganda, in addition to sending anyone with an opposing voice to the firing squad.

Decent people don't put up or let stand statues of serial killers, or want those killers favorite calling cards displayed in pubic places.

I remember a lot of people here always rolling their eyes when Germany banned or censored another game because it had Nazi symbols in it.
Waiting for documentaries to also get these symbols removed. Not even Germany went that far yet, but looking at todays extremists I wouldnt bet that it stays that way.

Swastika's are still on maps in Japan. Even google maps.
Svastikas are still a valid Japanese kanji keyboard character that one can display anywhere in text fields that support UTF8 characters. They are also a symbol that can be found on any Hindu temple. Actually, a lot of asians barely know of what happened outside of Asia during World war 2.

There's also a difference between the Buddhist swastika and the Nazi version. The Buddhist one faces counter clockwise, while the Nazi one faces clockwise. Not that most westerners would recognize the difference, but that's what education is for. I mean, Asia had it first for millennia before the Nazis stole it.
The Nazi swastika is easily recognized. No others look like it.
Its right-facing and rotated 45 degrees.

Was surprised I was only missing 2 ArmA III DLC, I haven't played it in a while (no shade M. Beaver). Snagged those on sale. Interestingly one of those 2 was in a bundle, and the bundle was at a higher discount. Since Steam lets you buy bundles with only charging you for the titles not already in your library I got a further discount than just buying it separately.

Also grabbed Into the Radius from wish list. A STALKER'ish VR title.

Youre lucky. My mind read that you were missing 3 ArmA 2 DLCs.

I have a hell of a lot more respect for Diablo 3 and the various development teams now, after playing some of the Johnny Come Lately ARPGs that have been out the past few years. Aside from Grim Dawn and Path of Exile, they've mostly been boring, extremely repetitive(even for ARPGs!) and just plain wastes of time and money.

I'll definitely check Diablo 4 out when it's finally released in what.... 2027?
Not really.
Diablo 1 and 2 had really cool stories that captured you. Their very dark theme also added a lot to that.
Diablo 3 was a childrens game compared to them. The story alone was so bad that I fear for the worst for D4. And the atmosphere could have been better as well. I mean it was a modern game that had so many opportunities to be great, but they decided to keep it small and social interaction to a minimum. And then of course there was their mocking of their fanbase, which didnt help either.

You should discuss this with your sister, mother, daughter, wife, aunt and grandmother.

Hm, my mother, GF and sister in law are also complaining about how disgustingly PC recent games/movies/series/TV and even books have become. They feel soulless, empty, artificial. As if someone wants to screw you over. They dont consume much of them anymore because of those reasons.

We have many different cultures on this planet. They almost all produce different works of art that fit their culture.
People like you always demand that only western cultures get more diverse. So if you want an LGBTQ+++++++++++++ game, then buy one. Theres enough of them. Dont demand that cultures and whole IPs change according to your imagination.
Coupled with your cancel culture (that you guys even try to use on me on this site) its authoritarian methods. Bullying. You wouldnt dare to tell the same thing to Chinese, Japanese, Muslims or Indians if you lived there, or probabaly not even from your position of privilege.
I wouldnt either, btw, because its their culture. If you want your own culture, you form it. You dont take over other cultures like fascists have done it and still (again) do it.

Only problem is that youre not antifascistic if you act like fascists yourself and even label people who arent your enemies as your enemies, just because you need enemies to exist.
We Germans know AntiFa far longer than you Americans do. They always were violent extremists who went on destructive rampages in cities regularly. No wonder, they were born as the SA of the communists in the 1920s.
#RealityCheckIndeed
Now you got that sickness too (funny how quickly that worked, also funny how quickly other countries were infected too all of the sudden). But some even embracing it is kinda hilarious to see.

As for the topic:
Someone today made something very obvious to me. He explained how easy it would be for Trump to defeat Twitter overnight by simply not using it anymore and instead use that other alternative that isnt censoring speech.
Not only would all his fans need to come there, but also his enemies, incl. the media and his haters. That would mean far less traffic on Twitter and that alternative would turn into a massive business overnight too, that could easily go toe to toe with Twitter. Monopoly gone in one night.
Kinda funny that he doesnt do that. Or maybe he still will.

Kingdom Deliverance sucks. So mad I bought it at nearly 30 bucks. It's crashed so many times in the main starting location that I didn't get to experience the game. It looked like it was going to be fun. The programming must be BAD. I rarely ever crash in any game since I've had my build going on 5 years now. The fact that this one continuously crashed at every attempt I made makes me think it's just BAD.
Its a very demanding game. My PC is overclocked and still crashes from time to time (I guess just increasing the vcore a bit would fix that). However, it never crashed on KC:D.
Yes, it has quite a few quest related bugs, but I never had any technical issues with it.

Excited for Ampere, hoping it’s a big leap and doesn’t have a large chunk of the die taken up by special-use cores like the 2000 series.

It’ll probably be the video card that makes me finally upgrade my processor from a 4790k to something a little more beefy.

Looking at the price of the cooler alone ($150), it looks like its at least as badly priced as Turing. VRAM wont be all that much higher either, because not enough people complained about the stuttering with Turing and Nvidia now thinks their compression is good enough.
